calling Mayweather an incomplete fighter is like saying Jennifer Love Hewitt could use plastic surgery

Mayweather isn't the complete boxer, this is pretty obvious. If I had to name a relatively recent complete boxer it would be Ray Leonard. He could box, he could move, but if he had to go into the trenches he could. Floyd can box better than anyone else on the back foot. But he can't do so well on the front foot.

[xcQUOTE=cortdawg25;2138777]Kayjay obviously hasn't seen many of his fighsts, because he just recently stalked Judah to a stoppage just last year. Can't stand toe to toe with a man about 10 - 15 lbs bigger than you maybe, but he stands toe - toe in almost every fight in the lower weights. Plus why woulad you stand toe-toe when your best chance of winning is to use your mobility against slower bigger men. I don't understand it with some people. How can you criticize someone for doing what gives them the best chance to win. Isn't that why we play sports to win, why must he fight with his B game to get a win. Only Floyd they ask of this, it's crazy...[/QUOTE]
To me a complete fighter can demonstrate the following.
Ability to neutralize opponents with defense
ability to box on the outside
ability to fight on the inside
        ability to take a punch
Can slug with KO power in either hand
        fluid combination punching
        affective body attack

obviously not too many fighters in the history of boxing fit this definition. But I think Roach's critique is more about using the skills Floyd lacks and DLH's strengths. a good example would be Ali. Try to be objective PBR fan boys.

Floyd runs most of the time and then picks his spots. He never really had so much power that KOed Gatti, it was all the openings Gatti has that led to his downfall. Floyd is good at getting your mistakes. Oscar has to be on point when he faces him cause his mistakes are what Floyd will capitalize on though I can see Oscar beating Floyd with the power difference. Oscar will catch Floyd.
one thing is not doing things, oen thing is not knowing how to do them

go see some more mayweather to see some jabbing doubled, tripled, mixed to the head and body moving in whichever direction, thrown form a high guard, thronw form the waist...

sorry the jab part does not make any sense, we are not talkinga roy jones jr

are you trying to say ali is an example of a complete fighter? please...

ali is the perfect example of a fighter who does A TON of "mistakes" but gets away with it because of unnatural physical gifts.

Yeah that stuff looked good on guys that were out of his league. You forgot Floyd has yet to step up. Then lets see him get away with that ****.

                hmmm

so you trying to say he jabs more with lesser opponents and throws power shots with the tougher ones? your understanding of boxing is impressive.

No i did not forget anything,

go watch the judah fight and see mayweather walking judah down.

Judah two division champion, undisputed at welter. (Floyd's second fight at welter).

What bull****!! Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not an in-pocket type fighter. I dont know why people always say that. The only times I have seen him fight in the pocket was against Corley, Mitchell, and N'dou and also the tail end of the bout against Chavez. He only foughts in the pocket when his opponents are weaker then him and softer punchers (which isn't saying much).

I suggest you go watch the Zab Judah fight, where he stalked Judah to death and mangled his face, by busting up his mouth, nose and left eye from the straight right hands he was eating all night. And mind you that was only 2 fights ago and at 147 pounds.

                    Durrrr.
He busted up Zab? I dont think so. He picked him off but the shots were not powerful and woudl of never knocked down Glass Jaw Judah.

no he stood in the pocket with opponents of his same size (i remind you... fought 20 fights at 130), he even stood in the pocket with baldomir in the first half ot the fight
