Exactly !!! Posters tend to shy away from the real arguement. The justification has nothing to do with Hatton being British or Mosley being 35 years old etc etc etc. **** that!

That's not just a hang over of Hatton's fight against Tszyu and against Urango, that's the effect of Hatton's fighting style as a whole.

How can people complain of Mosley clinching when he has shown how he can be a great boxer and puncher in his previous big fights. Did he clinch against
De La Hoya? Winky? Estrada? Vargas?

I don't know about 'dominated', which is a pretty strong word. I've watched it twice now and I was more impressed with Collazo the second time. He is slick and was more accurate than Shane was. Of course Mosely won by a wide margin but a lot of Shane's rounds were fairly close. Collazo did not discredit himself. He fought decently enough against a HOF opponent.

Kball stole my thread. lol I rewatched and marked down both fights. Here is the numbers.

I have 97 times where the ref had to break up the Hatton fight.
I also have 94 times where Hatton purposely tried to clinch. (Urango did a tiny bit of clinching too)

I have 70 times where the ref had to break up the Mosley fight
I also have 58 times where Mosley purposely tried to clinch.

I thought Mosley dominated Collazo & discouraged him. I really don't like punch stats but according to Compubox Mosley landed 33% of total punches (200 landed) compared to 14% (87 landed) for Collazo. Mosley also landed 46%of power shots (173) to 19% (67). Mosley had Collazo hesitant to let his hands go more because he was eating hard counter right hands & left hooks. As far as the clinches go, I didn't really notice because there was constant action. Whereas in recent Hatton fights it gets really annoying watching him go clinch alot unnecessarily.
