Why do people ***** about hatton, and then not about MOSLEY?

In the first 5 rounds vs URANGO, Hatton clinched less then MOSLEY did in the first 5 rounds against collazo... undoubtedly actually.

I personally dont have a problem with mosleys clinching at all. He doest do it that often and he does it after a great combination.

But ingnoring hattons misrable and horrendously boring 2nd half against URANGO, Hattons clinches are quicker, and he more often then not frees himself from the clinches.

Mosleys clinches are long and the ref always seperates them.

Again, it wasnt that bad because he didnt do it that often, but he did clinch more then hatton did in those first 5 rounds of each fight.

I guess its just MORE proof of the HATTON hate on this forumn, which is completely uncalled for and there is almost zero reason for...

I honestly feel that Shane clinched less, but if I'm wrong, I still prefer watching Shane over Hatton. I found the Collazo fight much more entertaining than the Urango fight. If indeed you are right about the clinching, it just illustrates how good a boxer Shane is, that by being constantly active and throwing lightining-fast combinations he can entertain fans and make them not notice the clinching as much, not to mention, win a fight convincingly.

Yeh but Mosely would clinch for about 3 secs and then start jabbing
      and throwing combos

Hatton would clinch for an hour get pulled apart from the ref jump in throwing
      a shot and hold again.

Mosley didn't clinch as often as Hatton did period. And some of those were when they just clashed and then tied up. Mosley wasn't just rushing in and clinching intentionally. He was a bit tired but for the most part he was strong throughout unlike Hatton.

Ricky Hatton will never get the respect he deserves around these forums for many reasons including, but not limited to: the fact that he's British, the fact that he's white, the fact that he's unbeaten, the fact that he's not Floyd Mayweather Jr.

No way Mosley hardly clinched in the 1st 5,and theres a big difference,Mosley didnt clinch as often,Hatton punched then held, punched then held,Mosley didnt do it everytime he landed a punch

If Mosley clinched as much as Hatton did in their respective last fights......I must have missed it. Because I rarely saw Mosley clinch, and when he did....it was more of a quick clinch to close the gap and throw to the body...then he was out. He didn't latch on like Hatton does.

And I still don't care......that clinching doesn't bother me. It doesn't bother me when Hatton does it, and it probably bothers me so little....that I completely missed Shane doing it if he did. Neither of them are as flagrant as John Ruiz who just hugs the entire fight.

I havent seen the Mosley fight yet but i made a thread a while back asking why Ali got away with so much clinching, no conclusive answer came of it.

I think it's because Mosley generated more excitement last night than Hatton did against Urango. Hatton was one punch and then clinch. Mosley was combination and then clinch. Plus his clinches were more spaced out then Hatton's. Hell Hatton clinched Urango without even throwing a punch at times.

I'm a Hatton fan but every Hatton fan has to admit that he hasn't exactly been exciting lately and isn't the same fighter he was before the Tszyu fight.

Yeah well I think Mosley fought hard for more of the fight then Hatton did, I don't hate Hatton but last nights fight was entertaining throughout, Hatton's last fight wasn't (except for the first few round like you said). It's a completely different situation, Mosley lived up to the hype, as of yet(at least for me) hatton hasn't.
