Again, this is gonna be an okay fight. Definetly wont be the worst fight of the year. far from it. Its not gonna have great action, or even good action, but it'll be nice and solid and i predict the championship rounds will be very exciting and have some very good action.

    WINKY WRIGHT KO11
Winky don't make his fights look easy. The Vargas, Quartey and Taylor fights were far from easy, he lost the Vargas fight. And Quartey and Taylor were gettting through his guard regularly.

no im not saying he makes fighting look easy. He makes connecting regularly with the jab, blocking punch after punch, and controlling the pace of a fight look easy.

I thought he definetly struggled with Taylor and Vargas. Not so sure about QUARTEY. He was just a lot more offensive in that fight, But he still handled it with relative ease. ANd i thought he beat VARGAS and TAYLOR.

Awsum! Id rather it had been Jones vs B-Hop but thats just coz id like to see Roy back on top and i think he still has the beating of Nard!
Hopkins wouldnt have took the fight if he didnt have a great gameplan in mind to beat Wink, i wonder if he still has it in him to bring it, maul and fight up close at a pace? Last time i remember him doing that was against Kieth Holmes. He beats Wink if he can still do that if not id give Winky the slightest of edges but the weight plays against him

Didn't you have Tarver-Hopkins fight a draw? When it comes to actual boxing, you don't know much and you can't appreciate the sweet science...

Again i disaggree with you. Except for his jab, when he gets it going looks really good while throwing it. But him taking punch after punch is far from looking easy, at least from a been there type of situation. Winky gets over rated for his defence, too much. Winky is a tough fighter, he may not be the toughtest fighter out there but he is very tough. The Vargas fight was close Vargas pulled it out at the end, Taylor beat Winky or else Winky would take the rematch but he don't want to go through another brutal fight with Taylor, with days or recorvery. And lets remember Vargas was just starting out, only had 17 fights when he faced the Veteran in Winky! Vargas was what 21 years old!, while Winky had all this world class experiance and still couldn't beat Vargas shows you how great Vargas was at an early age and he handled Quartey easier way easier then Winky did. Even Merchant that Vargas won and so did Lamply and the compu number proved Vargas won.

Yes, i did have it a draw but that was without considering the knockdown by Hopkins. The sweet science is what your boy Mayweather does, hit and not get hit -though i'd wish he'd throw many more jabs/punchs- not somone like Winky who gets his a ton and walks in on his opponet, that is not boxing. Hopkins also at times, some of you confuse his running with boxing, somtimes Hopkins forgets to punch.

                    :O

Please tell me ur only kidding...

Do u know how to score a fight? please tell me that its a joke?

                    Back to WRIGHT-VARGAS:

And LAMPLEY was interviewed after the fight and he said he thought WINKY easily dominated the first 8 or 9 rounds. How does that result in a loss?

SUre vargas was throwing a lot of punches, but the ones he landed were hard body blows that were partially blocked by the elbows. Winky controlled the fight from round 1 on, even if he did lost the last 3 or 4 rounds.

And lets not forget, as many fights as WINKY had under his belt, he was NEVER at his best when he fought WORLD CLASS COMPETITION before he fougth VARGAS, and he only fought WORLD CLASS COMPETITION once or twice.

Vargas was easily the strongest and most talented opponent WRIGHT had ever fought up until that fight. They gave it to Vargas because every judge is so nervous that they are gonna wrongly break a fighters undefeated streak.

I am more or less in agreement with you; but it will be interesting to see if B-Hopp can solve Winky's puzzle. I do think Bernard will have a lot of trouble with Wright because Winky's usually pretty active with the jab and covers up wel and Bernard doesn't do that well with active fighters who have a good work rate.....like Taylor, even though those decisions could be depated in favour of Bernard.

Anyway, I can't wait to see it.
