I think it is safe to say you were being unfair.

He got caught with a perfectly placed shot after nearly pitching a shutout.

His legs looked fine and he responded perfectly-he fought back hard and continue to win rounds! That knockdown showed a lot about Dawson, he doesnt appear to be some front runner that when tagged shows his true colors.

I will be curious to see how he responds in the future when getting smacked on the chin but right now I think Chinny is going too far.

What did I say that was racist? I said that all the BLACK fighters that were mentioned could beat Joe? How is that racist?! I didn't call anyone here a name. I refer to Joe is a cracka and that is what he is. He's cool to me. He's good but a little overrated. I have nothing against him. That is just a term, nothing personal.

                  Hopkins Might Be Too Old
                  Winky Mihght Be Too Small
                  Taylor Might Get Knocked Out
Tarver Might Get Peppered To Death
                  Klesser Might Not Be Ready

So many of the people who post about Calzaghe being over-rated, or a slapper really dont have any idea whatsoever.

Calzaghe, at the age of 34 has only ever lost one competetive fight in his life (that was the one loss in his rather amateur career, against 116 victories. In that amateur career he won 3 consecutive British ABA titles, becoming the only boxer to ever do that. In his one and only competetive loss, the opponents father was the referee).

In the vast majority of his amateur career, Calzaghe was very very rarely taken the distance. Amateur boxing is much less known for its KOs than professional boxing, but Calzaghe KOed his opponents much more often than not because he is a hard hitter. He doesnt necessarily have hard one-punch KO power (and lets be honest, why would he want to? Lots of the guys who have a lot of one punch KOs tend to rely on that and rarely have hugely successful careers), but he does and always has had incredible accumulative power.

Upon turning professional, Calzaghe won his first 9 fights. All within 2 rounds (7 of which in the first). He has only gone the distance in 11 of his 42 victories. The majority of the guys he hasnt been able to knock out have been exceptionally durable bastards like:
David Starie (never knocked out, only ever stopped once)
Miguel Angel Jimenez (never knocked out in his career)
Kabary Salem (never knocked out in his competetive career)
Evans Ashira (never knocked out, only stopped once)
Chris Eubank (never knocked out in his competetive career)
Robin Reid (only ever stopped once in his competetive career and that was late, by Lacy), Sakio Bika (never stopped)
Jeff Lacy (never stopped or knocked out, only one loss against Calzaghe in one of the most one-sided contests of all time)

In a long 42 fight professional career, Calzaghe has only ever been taken anywhere near close once in a fight against Robin Reid where he badly damaged his hand. Not an excuse, cos he won. Just a fact.

He has held his title longer than anyone else in world boxing at the moment and is moving towards not only being the longest reigning champion of all time, but also close to having the most defences of his title too.

He has only been down twice in his career despite fighting some rather big hitters and both time he got up to stop his opponents.

With all of that in mind, he barely makes anyones top 5 or even top 10 list on here. So how can he possibly be considered to be overrated?
