Bernard Hopkins.
Who you really think can beat Calzaghe?

BHops is too old and Calzaghe's workrate will overwhelm him. A younger Glen Johnson would have been an interesting fight for Joe with a move up in weight, although with his handspeed, I can see a replay of the Lacy fight. A prime RJJ would have been a true test, but we'll never know...Comment

Calzaghe is the one Brit fighter who should be regarded as being elite and many don't see it that way. Jermain Taylor is one of my favorites, but I think Calzaghe would beat him. B-Hop would be a good fight, but I think Joe comes in too wide with his punches and would get caught right down the middle. RJJ in his prime embarrasses Calzaghe.Comment

I would pick Hopkins, Taylor, and Kessler over Calzaghe.
And I would pick Jeff Lacy in a rematch.
... Just kiddingComment

Awful take Filth.
Green was buzzed multiple times by Emmet Linton who is a true Junior Middleweight, Calzaghe may throw some wide shots at times but the kid mixes in some hard ones as well-Joe is like a pitcher who throws curvebals, changeups, sliders and fastballs...watch the Lacy fight again there were some punches that landed flush against Lacy that would have been the end for someone such as your boy Green.
The funny thing about this thread is the respect that Joe is recieving-it makes me very proud-hell it wasnt long ago when you couldnt find anyone on this site to say anything positive about the Welshman.
Like the Russian crowd in Rocky 4, its nice to see people with the ability to change.
i've never seen lacy calzaghe, i've avoided it cause i don't want to see lacy get made into Blow's *****. good point about linton though, i did see that fight. if green got lazy and droppped his hands he'd take a serious bitchslapping from calz. i guess i'll have to put all my hopes on my homeboi ButeComment
