ok guys, let me shed some light on ARCE vs. DARCHINYAN and why it hasnt been made yet, and most likely won't be made any time soon.

Jorge Arce is not ducking VIC, he will fight VIC and make some good money doing it too. Arce only made $99K(I saw the check) against the Argentina kid on that last fight at the Honda Center.
Against VIC he could easily make near half a million, and VIC would get his biggest payday, roughly $250K.
I know these numbers are realll low and seem unreal for such a super fight, but its the truth, as great as these guys are, at the end of the day, they are just FLYWEIGHTS.

so, onto why it probably wont happen...

Arce is headed by Bob Arum's TOP RANK promotions. Bob Arum is a smart man who doesn't wanna risk Arce in a all or nothing battle. He can stretch Arce's career into millions over the next few years, so to settle for one big pay day and take a biggg risk of Arce losing to VIC is not a smart business move.

Also, Bob Arum and Gary Shaw(Vic's promoter) arn't the best of friends and dont do business well together so that has also caused the dealings to be non-existent.

Gary Shaw has said this to me "I tried talkin talkin to Bob about this fight, he wanted no part of it, or to even discuss it"

so thats that.

Politics do kill some GREAT fights in boxing, but these are all businessman, so its expected.

It's all politics between Arum and G.Shaw...I don't think that Arce would duck anyone-he is always looking for a crowd pleasing fight!!!

Whats more surprising to me is a champion at Arce's level is fighting again in 2 months. Arce is a real champ and is fighting like a contender ( every couple of months instead of 2wice a year). The man must love the sport.
