    Jorge Arce dodging Darchinyan?

Is Arce's camp avoiding a fight with Vic Darchinyan? Arce's has a tentative fight schedule for April 21st in San Antonio vs Cristian Mijares.

With all due respect to Mijares, this is not the fight fans want to see. The Superfight between Arce and Darchinyan is what the people want. I consider it one of the fights that must be made before the year is over.

    Yeah its odd.
I could understand if Arce was trying to unify or something, to make the fight even bigger, but hes taking in poorer quality opponents.
    Its strange.

Actually a fight with Martin Castillo is probably a better fight... As for Mijares, I don't know how familiar you are with him but the kid can really fight and is very tough...

You obviously don't know who Mijares is so I don't blame you for making that statement but he is a tough fighter who has a lot of boxing ability with a lot of skills...

Regardless he is not championship level therefore Arce should not be fighting him.

He is the current WBC Super flyweight champion who, unlike the majority of title holders out there, actually beat a solid belt holder to get it... He is also unbeaten in over four years... Again, no disrespect, but you should really find out more about this guy before you say more....

Again, taking nothing away from Mijares, but the fight that would make the most sense would be Darchinyan. He's a proven champ with an explosive left.

He has a fight on March 3rd, so hopefully the plans are for a late summer meeting between these two.

The legal issues that Shaw has against Top Rank and the problem with what the purse split would be are the two main reasons why I believe this fight will not happen...

Arce will fight anyone at any time, he does not look like a ducking fighter to me.
