Not trying to bash swimming or anything, but...
the muscles you're talking about, that are otherwise "inert no matter what kind of training you do"

    1. If they are inert in any other kind of training, what are they there for? Are they muscles that humans have developed JUST for swimming?

    2. If they're inert no matter what other training you do, won't they be inert as well in a boxing match, or any other type of activity on land?

    And if yes, then

    3. What's the benefit of working them out, unless you're a swimmer?

Sorry, I just don't buy that line of argumentation. Swimming might be great, but you're gonna have to come up with some rational/reasonable points to support that view. Mumbo jumbo reasoning only confuses the issue.

I thought Scully was easy on Floyd for the most part. I would have really trashed the clown.

ALI and Balboa did it in Rocky 3, what else do you need.

Well, I guess I'm just interested in learning all I can about boxing, training and life. Therefore I don't take things at face value. I'd rather question things and get slapped, than just accept something that makes no sense. What I commented on made no sense, so I called it.

If you somehow believe that Ali and Balboa got to where they went because of swimming, then that's your problem. Hey, maybe they achieved what they did IN SPITE of swimming, instead of because of it. Ever think of that?

I realize you were probably half kidding, but I still think I made a valid and important point (for the people who want to learn, instead of following blindly).

If you only use those muscles when swimming what is the point. I can see where you are coming from.Yes it was a joke.

Very important detail we seem to have forgotten. The old man is a Mayweather! Aren't they all born with **** in their mouth? From Sr to Jr and inbetween, they all talk alot of ****. Floyd Sr. thinks he did the "smart" thing but in reality he screwed himself of a million dollars, remember if DLH won he would've given Sr. another 500 thousand(bonus). LOSER
