I mean..... if it wasn't for the fact (and even then maybe not) that I used to train Chad....Mayweather probably doesnt even know, or care, who I am

Mayweathers getting all the credit for Dawson, what about his past trainers?

Dawson gets annoying everytime he speaks he says the same thing over and over, how Mayweather is the greatest trainer ever.

Oscar has a great chance to put a dent on PBF's jaw with that quick, short left hook. It's his coup de grâce. But how often can he do it?

This could be his last fight. So expect him to fight with his heart, even if he's not winning. However, at 154, I'm not sure if the shorter, lighter, Mayweather can be as affective with his punches.

that's the bad part about being a trainer. You can work your ass of for somebody, but your investment is only ever as safe as the guy's loyalty. Other times, you just have to realize the guy might be better off with someone else.

I'm sure Ice has made his peace with the situation. A trainer has to learn to let fighters go if he wants to last (albeit, seeing one of your fighters with a prick like Mayflower sr. doesn't make that easier).

interesting that you say that...I knew all along that Chad would do that and now you picked up on it....the thing is this: When I was with Chad he said I was the best trainer out there...when he got with Dan he said the same thing......Chad never trashed me but when he left Dan he kind of did....before he got with Floyd Sr. I told my guys here, I said "watch, no matter who Chad goes with next he is going to say they are the best trainer" and, bam, here it is. What Chad is doing is clear to me...its kind of like this.. when u get remarried and your new wife is standing there on dinner party night with the tune casserole she just cooked...you don't tell everybody how your first wife was the best cook you ever knew. You know? The thing is, too, and I say this in the article in regard to Oscar...sometimes newer isnt exactly "better" it is newer and it is different and a new change, breath of fresh air. New things seem better in many cases in all walks of life. It always remains to be seen, that's all.
