Nunn’s best was beating Sumbu in 88 seconds. No 1 middleweight in the world vs. No 2, and boy what a ****ing knockout.

Nunn/Watson would have been an interesting fight.

Oh come on. Sumbu Kalambay was coming off clinics over HEROL GRAHAM and MIKE MCCALLUM. Kalambay beats Jones and Hopkins. Nunn took Kalambay out in one round with one punch.

And remember, Nunn was dominating Toney like nobody has. He was dominating an in-shape Toney more impressively than Jones was dominating an extremely out-of-shape Toney. Jones was jumping in and jumping out all the time, whereas Nunn actually stood in front of Toney and just out-boxed him.

Watson was average, until Eubank II where he was leagues above anything we'd seen from him before. All he had to against Benn was tuck up!

And let that maniac punch himself out, hitting arms and elbows. Benn fought like a berk that night, and not even Watson's own camp had given him much chance beforehand.

Nunn was a beautiful boxer when he was at his best. He patterned his fighting style after Sugar Ray Leonard in my opinion.

If Nunn was that good, he would have beaten Toney. Nunn at his best would not even beat the RJJ of today. Nunn was just a flash in the pan, since Ray Leonard was on the downslide, there were many that were too eager to annoint this guy as THE NEXT RAY LEONARD. Well thanx James Toney for saving us some PPV money in the early 90's.
