Nope...... he is too greedy and sedentary for his own good. He isnt willing to fight the fights as people call em.

Its been 4 years since he last fought castillo....... he hasnt fought a fight even closely as significant to his legacy since then.

People want to criticize him because he doesn't do what he did at 130 or 135, how could he, the situation is so much different. people just can't accept greatness, can't appreciate perfection. They have to tear it down and build it up again. People appreciate the person who gets knocked down and gets back up to rise again. They don't appreciate the people who never fall and that is a porblem. Listen, we can appreciate, root and cheer for both!
hell of a post cortdawg. i agree, floyd has shown us for years now just how versatile he is. people expect him to be a gatti type of fighter, and look what that got gatti when he face floyd. floyd is a smart fighter, his strongest attribue imo. he wins the best way he knows how, and this is not secret. he mentions that a lot in his interviews. the man is a truly gifted fighter, and "boxing" fans appreciate this like myself who, when i was an active fighter, boxed, not really brawled although i could do both, i appreciated the natural boxing artform trmendously because i knew what sport it i was in. boxing fits floyd like a custom made glove. it's what he does, it's what he's perfected in his style. so what he pot shotted against baldomir. i mean, really i only seen him pot shot a lot against baldomir, a much bigger and stronger guy than floyd to many people. he comboed gatti, and corley. he used comboes in the judah fight also, and don't type he didn't because i have his whole professional career on dvd from his pro debut to baldomir. floyd gets the credit he deserves from the people who appreciate the sport for what it is. yes, he claims a lot that he will go toe to toe with his opponents, and he does go toe to toe with them. he boxes with them. he never claimed he'd go blow for blow with them. floyd knows he has to be more of a boxer at higher weights and his motto has always been the same, the less you get hit, the longer you last in the sport of boxing, a monniker that is symbolic of his crafty, technical defense. the man is our generation's pure bred boxer. i mean he's so natural with his old school style. many people seem to hate floyd because of his arrogance and can't stand his confidence, so they make claims only after reading columns that he ducks the best competition. i am a huge mayweather fan and i know how to poke holes in floyd's logic. floyd is a business man. he does want the money fights, big money fights. call that greedy, but de la hoya, mosely, hopkins, jones jr., all were the same way. they wanted the big money fights. maybe instead of you people claiming that floyd avoids the best, claim that because of floyd's style mainly his defense, it won't matter who he fights in his mind because he'll dominate them. that is how you know that floyd is th emost confident boxer in the game. he knows that no matter how many people doubt him, boo him, criticize him, discredit his victories after just claiming his opponents had a huge chance of beating him, or bring his persoanl issues with his father and girlfriends to light, when he's in that ring, all the naysayers will be shcooled just like the opponent across from him. that is why floyd will never be beaten in my honest opinion. he trains like a madman, and puts on a performance whether by knock for the brawling fans or by unanimous decisions for the boxing fans. he shows up, shows off, and wins, and you can't hate on that. people clain he should fight hatton. but, then hatton runs his mouth off with his trainer about how he has the style to beat floyd and he wants him, but then comes around and claims, not yet. people on here claim that cotto would give floyd problems and could knock him out, and then then claim that floyd won't be able to hurt cotto. the same was said for corrales and hernandez and gatti, and floyd ko'd and tko'd them all. people's opinion of floyd stems from their obvious hatred of his personality outside the ring, not from his masterful performances against their favorite fighters of today. they know how great he is, and how rare you see someone like that come aroun with the complete package and confidence of floyd. i see it, and floyd sees it, and his fans see it, and that's all that matters, and i truly think he knows this, that's why when he is heavily booed, he rubs his dominating performances in the booer's and critics' faces. he jy-rades around and sticks out his tongue because he loves to be hated. love him or hate him, he is the best boxer p4p out of any weight and has been for some time now. manny is not number 1. winky is not number 1. that honor goes to to the pretty boy. he's undefeated and come may 5th, all of oscar's fans will be highly saddened or maddened by what floyd does to oscar, no matter how much they claim oscar's left hook will hurt mayweather, but they really don't know for sure, but what does that matter to them, they hate floyd, and anybody can beat him to them, whether it's oscar, winky, cotto, williams, or hatton, as long as their facing floyd jr, because of people's hatred for floyd, anyone can beat floyd to them. what they fail to realize however is the truth, floyd beats them all. may 5th, many fan sare coming to see oscar, but also, many fans are coming to see floyd mayweather lose just as much. but, they all will see the complete oppisite because floyd will dominate oscar, mark my word. floyd is the best boxer in the sport and keep doing what you're doing pretty boy, because they are many fans out there including me who will always appreciate your hardwork and dedication as well as you're masterful gift in the ring. signing off.

Your right, but it's not his fault that "A" opponents aren't as plentiful as they once we're(or as willing to take a chance), & anyone close doesn't seem to be able to win a single round against him, again not his fault. the closest he's come to strong opposition recently was Judah, I'd say he was B+ when he faced Floyd, he even won a few rounds, but once PBF adjusted it was over, great fight tho IMO.

i think this is due to the fact that you rate castillo very high, as opposed to not rating the undisputed ww champ baldomir, or former undisputed in judah, or megastar at 154 DLH

You gotta admit Castillo was a better fighter than all of them,

and he only fought baldomir after people didnt give him any credit for beating a recently beaten fighter in Judah. So of course im not gonna rate those wins as high as the castillo win that was huge that was like when he was going on a rampage taking on all comers and challenges. He hasnt done that since, why should i rate his recent work anywhere near as high?

Also good for Floyd he is gonna get paid bank for fighting DLH. A fighter who hasnt shined in years and is basically semi-retired.
