    How times have changed!

It used to be the opposite.. Calzaghe would put in awful performances against the likes of Reid, Thornberry, Starie and Salem or defend his world title against nonen******, while Hatton would excite more than Gatti and Ward put together with his electric style, extremely exciting when loading up and opening up - and constantly loading up and opening up.

All-round Hatton is a better fighter. Calzaghe is a better warrior, the amount of fights hes fought with a buggered hand. Hatton is also a warrior but I can see Calzaghe beating Bernard Hopkins and Jermain Taylor. I can't see Hatton beating PBF or cleaning out the division.

Therefore, Calzaghe is probably currently the best British fighter.

the boxing industry needs to set up a hatton/mayweather n calzaghe/hopkins on the same month....if both are still undefeated by then, then any 1 out of the 2 brits that win should be king....if neither win, then well......we'll just have to go by their performances....

I would pick Calzaghe over just about anyone in his division...especially Taylor or an over the hill Hopkins. His most dangerous fight would be if Winky Wright moved up.

As for Hatton...please.....Mayweather KILLS him...he is the ultimate Euro-fraud.
