I Winks D is more effective long term. You use less energy and you don't need great speed.

Wright relies too much on blocking shots, when compared to Floyd Mayweather.
Floyd is much more adept at slipping & countering an opponent's punches, while Wright waits for the guy to finish firing before firing himself.

Mayweather's defense and Toney's defense are great ways to defend with the shoulder. But they are more dependent on speed and reflexes. Obviously Toney is still a good defender but he gets hit more often now due to his older age. With Winky's defense you just cover up which doesn't take a lot of enrgy. And I think that style is better because he also comes forward and make his opponents smother their punches.

actully it winky style takes alot of energy try going on gaurd all the time you will feel your shoulder is sore that is why some boxer usually lower there gaurd once in awhile.

Winky has very high stamina but abit low on power department so his style is suits his ability.

another thing if you seen Taylor fight some of the punchs really hurt Winky so if Winky fought with much stronger punchers let say Miranda if Miranda will hurt Winky in the later rounds because he would puncher on his arm and body and he would lower his gaurd and that is the chance you could his winky.

but once someone moves around and hit his opponet back with couter is usually better because you cant hit somone you cant catch

Winky has got some durable arms.
Mayweather has a more multi dimensional defense.
He can do several things defensively.

it seems like you both watched only the first 4 rounds of judah-mayweather, missing the rest of the fight, where mayweather adjusted and fought more offensively closing in at mid range, punishing the faster Judah while not getting hit.

You think mayweather adjusted? I saw Judah tired and stopped throwing punches, of course Mayweather stopped getting hit.

if it was just judah getting tired and unable to throw, mayweather could have been anywhere on the ring and punish him by throwing multiple right hands in combination like he usually does when the oher fighter is done.

Instead he methodically stayed at mid range, ( I would guess because judah was still dangerous), and what i saw was judah not throwin punches because he was just getting countered whatever punch he threw.
