winky wins fights but he does it un-impressively ... the only fight winky has ever had that he was really really tested was against ... taylor ... I personally think he lost against shane mosley the 2nd time but whatever, taylor still tested him more...

Id RATHER see a fighter go thru his career having sum real battles but say for example Roy Jones, if he had retired after Ruiz after having little trouble his whole career is he great? zahir raheem is a skilled BOXER... not a ****in 1,2 cover up... he throws all kinds of punches ...he almost knocked freitas out ... he completely schooled the **** out of morales ... wright always has his hands on his face because his gloves are so ****in big ... and zahiar raheem fights with his hands at his chest ...

I somewhat understand what your saying, but it's not about evenly matched opponents, it's about completely outclassed opponents, Winky & Taylor pushed each other hard & they both fought their heart out(& if you think Winky's never been tested, then you've never seen the Vargas fight). Taylor to me doesn't seem to be the complete package, but he's fought the best & he's paid his dues & I can't take anything away from him. Now if you've fought no-name "C" class fighters for 99% of you career then you're not necessarily a "great" fighter, but if you go in there against the best opposition & give all your heart & mind to win, then wether you do it like Willie Pep or George Foreman, I'm still impressed & entertained, but I am a lover of the sweet science.

I do remember Raheem deserving the nod as well as landing the harder punches. Neither guy put on a great show and I'm just curious how you find Raheem exciting and Wright not. I wasn't really that impressed with Raheem beating on Morales like he did, because it's a style made fight for Raheem against a guy too far north of his original best weight who was also washed up. You keep talking about Wink "Moving up". That's what he did, he moved up to the middleweight division from Jr. Middle to fight Trinidad, Taylor, and Quartey. And I think those names speak for themselves, if you watch boxing they do.
