    Hatton Is Not Washed Up

Just save that garbage, and especially you JuyJuy.

None of this talk was ever a reality before he moved up to 147 to fight Collazo. Just to jog your memories.....he was coming off an impressive 1 punch left hook knockout of Carlos Maussa. The reason Hatton looked unimpressive against Collazo was because he was fighting north of his real weight, against a slick southpaw with a style made to give him trouble.

LOL Hatton follows that up by fighting yet another durable southpaw, maybe not one nearly as slick or resembling the same style....but as ugly a fight none the less. It's no secret to someone who knows anything about boxing that Hatton or anyone else would look terrible against Urango and Collazo. They're exactly the kind of guys that can make for ugly fights.

Hatton just moved back to 140, and he'll stay there with the prospect of a fight against Castillo. So I don't want to hear excuses about how he's washed up.....to find that he gives Castillo a hell of a fight. Idiots.

Fair comment. He's been fighting guys that it is difficult to look good against, no doubt. The Castillo fight should tell us more. I think Juy is just upset, is all. I think we were all expecting Hatton to look a little better on Saturday than he did, and he tired horribly in the later rounds.

Still, the Castillo fight will let us know what sort of shape he is in. Then hopefully it's onwards and upwards to Cotto and Mayweather!

Bingo. Hatton is nowhere near washed up. His youth and tenacity will give Castillo problems. I just hope Castillo can and will offer better to Hatton than he did vs Ninjoodoo.

If Castillo beats Hatton, that will be huge for me. The layoff may have hurt Castillo a bit. I assume Castillo will be his best version of himself for the Hatton fight in June.

I just don't see how Hatton can be washed up when he won 11 of the 12 rounds against a solid, undefeated Southpaw prospect who is in excellent condition and came to fight....I think it's asolutely ridiculous.

I picked Hatton to stop Urango, simply because I figured he was nowhere near his leauge and he'd get beat up. Hatton chose to box and take him to school the entire fight, and he never had the intention of finishing him early.

I think the people who were hoping for some bigger than life performance where Hatton ended Urango in dramatic fashion were bitter after the fight....and it really didn't help that Hatton was clinching the entire time. I could understand if Hatton followed the Collazo performance up by losing 6 rounds of the fight against Urango......people could have reason to question. As it stands he just completely outclassed him in what I thought was a pretty impressive boxing lesson. I'm more than sure everyone else was whining about the number of times he clinched, but he still won the fight in impressive fashion. Before he clinched, he'd get off combinations of punches...and Urango wasn't doing near as much as he was.

I don't think he's washed up. Just way, way overhyped...

What about Coralles then? Does that belittle him and his achievements?

We all know what 'getting up' for a fight means to a fighter. Castillo was clearly demotivated for the fight. He'll be up for Ricky, no doubt.

135 and 140 are two completely different beasts. Ask Ricky what moving up a weight class can do to a fighter...
