We both know damn well that if Vitali Klitschko was anywhere near a negotiating table, Peter's people would filed a lawsuit so fast that Maskaev wouldnt know what hit him.
Can you imagine the black eye on boxing if a fighter, retired since 2005, and not fought since 2004, comes back and is presented with a title shot. And then you have a young guy like Peter who won not one, but two mandatories and he is being kicked to the curb.Comment

It wouldn't surprise me. Vitali likes to pick the easiest fights where his opponent still has a name. Like when he picked Danny Williams after Williams beat an over the hill Tyson. I also remember he immediately talked about making a fight with Brewster after Brewster beat Golata.Comment

Nautilus, are you blind with biased thoughts that much?
He is basing his opinion on a press release issued by Gotzev, because Gotzev made a simple comment. "Maskaev would rather make a fight with one of the Klitschkos than face Peter"
Was Vitali ever mentioned in a single interview by Gotzev or in the press release....NO!
You notice that Scoop made no effort to secure comments from Maskaev, Rappaport, either Klitschko, K2, Duva, Don King or even try to reach Gotzev by email or phone to ask him what he meant by the comment.
Poor journalism!!!
Instead he put something up to get a rise out of people based on speculation over a comment made by Peter's manager, and a harmless comment at that.Comment

Oh, and this fight would not be good for boxing if it were to happen because the Klitschkos would not fight eachother. As long as they both have belts we can't have heavyweight unification. It pisses me off so much, that we can't get any of the champions to fight one another. Every one of these guys talks about unifying the belts, and they're all full of crap. It has been years since heavyweight titlists have fought one another.Comment

You are right... but it led to a fun thread. I could not resist.
I remember Scoop writing articles about Wlad's poisoning at *************.com. I remember that the articles were based on no data, rather on pure speculation. Scoop's new article is no different.Comment
