Cotto (for Margarito) in this comparison is equal to DLH (for PBF). I'm NOT comparing Cotto and DLH, just the situation.

Williams is equal to Baldomir. Both have won the fights to put themselves in line for a big fight. Both have earned it.

Floyd decided to become the WW champ while waiting for DLH, Margarito is deciding to sit back and fight a lesser opponent. Not too difficult to comprehend. Margarito talked all that ****, then ran as soon as someone worthy took the challenge. My prediction: Cotto is going to dispose of Margarito in a violent and cruel manner, then we won't hear from Margarito anymore.

How hard is it to understand why he would fight Cotto before Williams? Fighting Williams will do nothing for him in terms of the types of big fights that he is looking for. Fighting Williams is high risk low reward, and if he were to beat him everyone would just say that Williams was green and unproven. Fighting Cotto is a much bigger fight and a much bigger payday. He is taking a step up in competition, and if he were to beat Cotto it is more credible than Williams and being that Cotto is a more proven fighter. If he were to beat Cotto, it would put him a position to get the types of fights he wants. What part of that do you not understand? It's not that hard.

Thats the same situation there was between marg and PBF and PBF was criticized for not fighting marg. The thing that annoys me is the hypocracy b/c marg spent so much time bitching.

well how about when marg asked for an exception to fight clottey just so he wouldn't fight williams? and williams was even his mandatory back then. marg is clearly ducking williams. i also thought he wanted to unify. now he's giving up his title. marg is the biggest joke in boxing.
