I didn't see fight, but was Augustas really bad, someone sent me an email 2 days ago saying that he took the fight on 2 days notice, with no training, is this true? do you guys think it would have been a better fight if he had about 2 months to prepare? Or was Diamond just so much better?

it probably his problem and that is not an excuse because he could have said he wanted a fight 4 month later

Which Augustus showed up? Was it the Augustus who beat Burton and Stoner just a month or so ago? If that was the Augustus who faced Raiymkulov, then the "Kid" has accomplished something.

augustus looked flat.and hardly threw anything. diamond kept him off with a busy jab and emanual was getting nailed more than usual.emmanuel makes most of his money as a sparring partner. imo diamond isnt on par with the top ltweights yet.

I think he'd have a better shot of beating Casamayor this time, i don't know if he'd want to fight Campbell again but I'd favor Diamond in the rematch. Very good fight for Diamond.

As for Augustus, im sorry but he needs to retire. Too many tough fights just caught up to him.
LIghtweight aging fast and KD could climb high. He and baby bull could make an explosive duel. But could Joel and Nate still school Almazbek is a big question. I think they do.

Emmanuel was saying before this fight that the loss of weight is a problem for him. It explains the result, IMO.

A loss is not surprising from Augustus, he has 20 plus. And for the comment made about Augustus a few years or months back could have beaten Diamond, that is just insane.
