I was joking about the handspeed part. But, Dude I am watching his fight with Peter right now. Think about this: When has he ever used in and out tactics demonstrating footspeed? When has he ever closed down on an opponent again demonstrating footspeed?
Answer: Never.
The guy is slow as hell. He's just big and lumbering.Comment

Chris Eubank, Oct '92:
"My training regime is planned meticulously.
"Once I have a date for the bout, specific training usually begins eight weeks before. From that moment, I focus not on the week of the fight, or the day, or even the hour. I focus on the day the fight is announced. This approach has to be paced with great delicacy: if my momentum is even one hour askew, I could get beaten. The key is this: the most important day of training is the day they announce the fight. I realise that the fight starts on day one, and the first phase is conditioning, where Brighton is ideal - me and Ronnie take to the beach or I run the steps of the cliff tops.
"When I get to the gymnasium later in the morning, as you'll see, I take stretching exercises extremely seriously. My colleague from the Big Apple, 'Doctor', knows how to enhance the stretching I'm doing to maintain and increase my all-encompassing flexibility, which is a big part of my game, because the stretching increases my muscle tissue over time which in turn increases body strength because basic science tells you a bigger muscle is a stronger muscle, no matter how you increase the muscle tissue. A fight is not just about strength though, it's about flexibility. I'm petrified of losing, and that's why I stay on top of the game. My stretching has to be done to the letter because I would break the form otherwise and be wasting effort.
"Stretching comes first, followed by my fanatical shadow boxing routines. I cannot move on to bag work or sparring until I have gone through my shadow boxing routines without even the slightest mistakes, I could be here alday just shadow boxing until I get it right. I don't simply coil out punches when I shadow box, I shift, I weave.. I dance to maintain my deft of foot.
"As far as my sparring is concerned, I make sure there's no pitter-patter, as you'll see. That's why we find it difficult to find sufficient sparring partners. I don't believe in wasted effort, so I never hold back in so-called sparring sessions. I also need to be hit hard and often to develop immunity, and I need to be hit hard and often until the day previous to the actual fight to maintain immunity."Last edited by GEOFFHAYES; 01-11-2007, 12:27 PM.Comment

he looked horrible in that regard in the peter fight. he was panicky and off balance throught the fight. watch his fights where he;s relaxed and composed and you'll see he does move pretty well for a big guyI was joking about the handspeed part. Watch every Klitschko fight after 4 rounds. After the 4th round he turns into a lumbering, clumsy ********. The fight against TOS, especially. When he's in there with a guy that's made for him to look good...he looks great. But when he's fighting a guy who won't lay down and will actually try to lay some leather on him...he goes into panic-mode.Comment

I dont listen to anything the clowns on HBO say. I watch fights with my eyes not my ears. all knowledgable boxing insiders and trainors marvel about wlads handspeed. freddie roach,, manny steward,,and Al bernstein are just 3 examples. so you clearly have only watched him at his worst or you dont like him and are being biased. which one it is I dont knowComment
