klitschko knew what he was doing in that fight, he fought a superb fight, he jabbed peter's face off and when he wanted ;anded the hook, anyone who thinks a re-match would be different needs to go see the first fight again,. yeah sam looked better vs toney his jab etc looked great , but your tellin me klit would be as easy to hit with it than peter

Sadly, Toney's chin is better than Wlad's. If Peter hit half the power punches (clean ones) he did against Toney, Klitschko would be knocked into next week. The only thing Peter could land in the first fight were rabbit punches, and if he learned anything from that fight and the first Toney fight (and from his performance last weekend it's obvious he did), he will definitely give Wlad some problems. I remember thinking the ref was going to stop the fight at any moment during Wlad-Peter.

Little Klit has a reputation as a hard, cumulative puncher, so what did you expect them to say? "Wlad hit him as hard and often as he could, but he just couldn't stop him!!"?

I still think Wlad would win a decision in a rematch, though.

I would not say that Wlad is cumulative puncher, most of his ko's lately were one punch ko's(outside of Byrd, but its almost impossible to ko byrd with one when he is on defensive).

you thought the ref was going to stop wlad in that fight? lol,,,,peter was actually more beaten up and wobbled than wlad ever was. those knockdowns were **** and if you think he was close to being out you need to watch the fight with your eyes open next time

Toney and Wlad are very different fighters, especially with Toney being past his prime and out of shape...
Wlad is much taller then Toney so Peter can't fight the way he fought against Toney or he would be jabbed all night long by Wlad... It would be much worse than the first fight... Peter fought a good fight the 1st time because that's how you beat Wlad, Peter is never going to outbox Wlad... The only chance Peter has is by landing some wild punches but Wlad is aware of that so I can't really see a way Wlad can lose this fight...
If Peter wins in rematch(which I really doubt) it would look like Lewis-Rahman 1... shocking...

But I just cannot believe all of the punches Peter was able to take...clean punches at that by Wlad...

I am afraid that the fight will come where Peter's great chin gives in along with his body if he has many more fights like that...even great chins don't necessarily get harder

And Wlad again was impressive...he showed that fight how more complete a boxer he has become under Steward...

I hope that one day these two meet again for unification down the line...I think Peter would beat Maskaev for the WBC title and Wlad would most likely still hold his IBF title...

Because he's too afraid of getting hit flush, and he's shown it, a straight up *****, he's never going to be a real champ with the opposition he's been up against, the only good thing about him that gives him an edge is that he's southpaw and tall...
