I truly don't think Margarito is a ***** or even truly scared of PW, I just think he is a huge hypocrite.

PW fight before the Cotto is no a smart business move. To much risk not enough reward (Sound Familar???) well its true. Margarito is however a hypocrite and if we judged him by his very own standard that he set for PBF then yeah he is scared of PW, but realisticly I dont think any fighter is physically scare of another, if Margarito fears PW its because he fears that PW is good enough to spoil a potentially huge pay day for Margarito.

Margarito's a hypocrite and should be eating crow now but not fighting PW is the smart business move. Remember guys pride aint gonna feed his family after he retires.

Even if he loses to Cotto the Paul Williams fight would still be an attractive and lucrative event, however if he loses to Paul Williams first (which is a risk) then he screws up a huge pay day. I believe Zab took a pay cut of 75% after he lost to Baldomir as a setup to his fight with PBF.

I gotta dig out my old avatar of Margarito whining like a *****....but for now let me focus on the task at hand.

First and foremost Clottey was not Margarito's mandatory, that's bull****, so let's squash that **** right now. Margarito opted to fight Clottey. He never had to.

I think it's quite hypocritical of Margarito to make a decision like this and essentially duck his challenger to fight a bigger name. Why? Because for the past year Margarito said the same **** of Mayweather who opted to fight bigger name fighters than Margarito himself (Gatti, Baldomir, etc..). So this whole time he's been bombarding Mayweather and saying he feared him, and what's he do? Turns around and does the same damn thing.

I'm leaving my personal feelings for Margarito out of this thread, it's clear I think he's a selfish, self-centered, overhyped, undertalented, hypocrite of a fighter, sure. However I can see why he wants Cotto, Cotto is gaining popularity and a win over him will boost Margarito's, plain and simple.

Is Antonio Margarito a *****? No, not by any means of the word. Any man who steps between those ropes and trades shots for a living should never be called a *****. Especially by those who claim to respect the sport he competes in.

Is Antonio Margarito a hypocrite? Absolutely. But I never expected much more to begin with.....

in my opinion Margarito is not TOP fighter in his division, i dont see what the the hype about the guy. Hes slow and hes doesnt have any great power to talk about, his defense isnt that good either. But after hearing people cry about how much they fear this guy and how hes been asking to fight every top fighter out there, now all of a sudden hes a ***** cause he doesnt want to fight his mandatory. Wasnt he Floyd's mandatory or some other big name oppoent and they left their tittle behind instead?
