Again Austin is not Shannog Briggs. Briggs is not gonna hang back and play a awkward tricky counterpuncher all night, he's gonna come right at Sultan into his power. Sultan is one of the better two fisted punchers in the division in terms of speed, power, and accuracy. Briggs doesn't have a glass chin but it's worse than Sultan's and his stamina is the worst in the division bar none.

Styles makes fights and Sultan is just more man than Briggs is capable of taking on.

glad someone in this thread knows boxing. my god,,,I cant beleive all the clowns that give sultan such little chance of winning. he's far from flawless but he has more than enough skills to defeat briggs. briggs only chance is to catch sultan coming in during the first few rounds. if briggs looks the way he did against the overrated terrified serge he'll get taken apart and knocked out. end of story

Agreed. People have forgotten how weak Shannon's heart is. He has these bursts of courage but when the going gets really tough, he just kinda folds or at least stops trying as much.

I got Sulton winning this one too. But he has to make Briggs work in the first 6 rounds so by the 3rd part of the fight, Briggs is there for the taking. Briggs is always dangerous in the first few rounds, but if you make him work, he gases out. Suton by decicion.

shannon briggs chin is not as bad as some people say, he took some shots from lewis that are much harder than anything igbraminov will deliver to him.

briggs outweighs sultan by 40 pounds and hits much harder, sultan will get hit when he trades and he will not be able to take briggs punch IMO

briggs stands around too much, all those steroids have taken away his stamina. there's plenty of chances for ibragimov to outwork briggs and steal rounds. on the other hand, briggs could knock him out at any point in the fight

briggs took shots from lewis and was dropped 4 times and stopped in the fifth,,,so I dont know how you can say that shows a good chin. heart yes,,,chin no. I dont think the guys chin is that bad but its average at best and I dont think he hits much if any harder than sultan. just becuz a guy is more massive and muscular doesnt mean he hits harder. plus sultan punches from that southpaw stance and with both hands which makes him more dangerous. I can see briggs hurting him and getting him out of there early but I think there's a better chance that sultan sticks around and wears briggs out and stops him late

He doesnt even have to make Briggs work for more than 1min of the first round and Briggs will be winded for the rest of the fight after that if he has any balls, which Sergei didnt, he can just box the whole night, because Briggs will only throw like 4 punches a round. Briggs is the most pathetic excuse for a champ I have ever seen, when you are too tired to celebrate winning a world championship you need to lay off the weights or roids or somethin. The 1998 version of Briggs was good, now hes an out of shape overmuscled clown.

he's an undedeated olympic silver medalist and a hard hitting southpaw. this should be worded. "I will not be counting briggs out" I think sultan should be the favorite here. way too many are overrating briggs over his win over overrated serge. last Im going to say this becuase Im beginning to sound like a broken record. hopefully it will sink in to some people
