Well I'm looking at that as a wake up call for boxing bodies and promoters to get their ****s together or the whole sport will suffer.

Maybe some boxing people will start thinking now.

I like how people keep saying stuff like this.

MMA is structured nothing like boxing. There are no sanctioning bodies or promoters. There are two big organizations and then there are some smaller organizations.

The UFC has worked hard to get to where they are and they wouldn't let somebody with Don King's reputation in thier organization.

and he blames the greedy promoters who want to put up subpar ppv;s for quick monetary gains, instead of putting fights on for free on hbo.

what can be done about this? its sad but don king and bob arum are like fidel castro they just keep on ticking and ticking and they are bad for the sport.

HBO"the heart and soul of boxing" no more...

Boxing will never die. The MMA will not kill boxing. It's slow due to a lack of superstars. We were spoiled in the 70's and 80's and the early 90's. Those Decades are a hard act to follow. Only time will tell if we will see another Ray Leonard, or Mike Tyson. There were so many good fighters back then, Duran, Holmes, Hearns, Mugabi, the list goes on and on. Boxing doesn't have that kind of depth now. Neither does the UFC. Boxing fans just need to keep on watching, and the stars will emerge. In the mean time...A good fight is a good fight, whether it's UFC or Boxing.
