A sad day in BOXING HBO will aird 3 UFC shows this year....

man this article made me sad...greenburg tells of how he fought hard to not show UFC on hbo, he said he would not show it...but he gave in basically cause the ratings for boxing were low...

and he blames the greedy promoters who want to put up subpar ppv;s for quick monetary gains, instead of putting fights on for free on hbo.

what can be done about this? its sad but don king and bob arum are like fidel castro they just keep on ticking and ticking and they are bad for the sport.

this sucks so bad, I mean I like MMA, but there's something about boxing that makes it better. This can't happen, 2007 will be a better year for boxing, but this just can't happen.

i mean when they were younger and full of gusto they did lots of good things for boxing but they dont care anymore.

And toward the end of the article, he said that HBO promises to not give promoters dates with fights attatched. After June 9th when Cotto fights TBA.

And they promise to not be so loyal to promoters, and turn away cards that arent going to be competitive.

Once the corrupt people like Don King get to UFC it will be gone before we know it. If boxing were handled properly it would be in the top three most popular sports.
