now that i see them side by side whitiker and floyd are nearly identical and if whitiker fough more southpaws he would of fought exactlly to a T like floyd
floyd has a little more power but whitiker had the southpaw advantage.. toney is more accurate then floyd hes a better puncher

The Real Question Is He A Pecker Or A Puncher,, Whitiker Was A Puncher That Didnt Commit Because He Didnt Have To Because He Was A Soutpaw. Toney Is A Puncher Too, Mayweather Might Be A Pecker... Augustas Is A Pecker I Think And So Is Spinks

            This thread got good quickly.

I agree with the Whitaker talk.

Mayweather is immediately more dynamic - looking at the clips together.

So, I think Mayweather could imitate Whitaker more easily than vice versa.

            But these two are similiar.

Toney is a little too much shoulder roll, standup pot shot; to even get there.

I see PBF as being much more orthodox than either Whitaker & Toney, both technically & in boxing mindset.

Would probably put him closer to someone like Ricardo Lopez in terms of style.
Both are very orthodox fighters, in the best sense of the word, although Lopez the bigger puncher and more offensively minded.

Some of his punches look the same and he was a mover/puncher but overall they do not look the same . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWSEeLpVxCY
