Hopkins not a fighter, just a business man!

Do you realize how many guys from 175 all the way down to 160 would give Bernard Hopkins hell and who is going to fight?

    Roy ****ing Jones.

Oscar is a business man but he has never screwed the public, he may have bit off more then he could chew but he always took the craziest fight he could take.

Roy Jones vs. Bernard Hopkins is a flat out public ****, a ****ing public ****.

Do you think Roy Jones vs. Bernard Hopkins is good for Boxing? Do you know how many casual sports fans will tune into that and say "man boxing sucks" . Do you think Tarver v. Jones was good for our sport? It was awful and that was one of Bernard's crowing achievments...how about his fights with Taylor? Do you think the average sports fan said to themselves, "man that Hopkins guy gave Taylor everything he had"...Bernard was good for the sport when no one knew who the **** he was, back when he was the REAL junkyard dog, he hasnt been good for our sport since he disposed of the risk taking animal known as Tito Trinidad, god damn!

Sure the fight with Jones has not been made yet but in the world of Bernard Hopkins you can bet your ass it is the only fight he is looking at. Do you really think he wants the best at 175 or 168, do you?

Oscar, no matter how old or young always sought the best, Bernard doesnt seek the best he had a couple of lighter weight studs seek him out and thats it, talk about fortunate!

I make no bones about this, **** Bernard Hopkins, he is not the blue collar fighter I grew up loving he is all about the money and he doesnt care who he has to ass **** to get it, just ask Lou Dibella!

Roy Jones, are you ****ing kdding me, thanks Bernard you ****ing stud you!

Am I alone in my disgust of this greedy rags to riches punk?

        1. Boxing is a business; and if a fighter isn't smart enough to figure that out, he ends up braindamaged and destitute at the end of the day.

        2. No one's gonna put a gun to your head and make you buy Hopkins-Jones II if it happens.

I feel your pain, bra.....it's getting old; but it's been going on a long time. This is nothing new.

The sad part about that is that some fighters understand that, yet they still end up brain-damaged and often in financial trouble.

Look at the GOAT, Ray Robinson.

I knew he didn't want to fight the best when he chose Maskaev (The weakest heavyweight champion), but he IS 42 years of age.. and he doesn't need to fight the best, because he can live off his wins against Tarver, Oscar and Tito.. no matter what the circumstances were.

and he wants to make big money for a long overdue (and unnecessary) rematch.

                  Big deal.

                  We've seen this happen before.

It'll probably be boring, so I'll catch the replay.

                    1) plenty of fighters have found ways to 1) make a ton of money and 2) give the fans what they want.

2)sure no one will put a gun to my head to buy it but realize this my friend lots of casual sports fans will buy this fight thinking they are getting one of the best fights our sport has to offer and at the end of the night thousands will swear off the sport of boxing because of the pathetic performance given by both men.
