UFC is taking over...with the frat boys, racist rich white kids, and the rednecks but once more ********** take over they will lose interest...why do you think not many white kids follow boxing? because they dont see any white peole owning in it.
they only follow ufc because of white guys like chuck liddell and some surfer like them with tattoos.
Besides UFC is boring tito and chuck just circled each other throwing jabs at the air until someone rushed in.Comment

If white people are only interested in sports with white guys on top then how do you explain Tyson?UFC is taking over...with the frat boys, racist rich white kids, and the rednecks but once more ********** take over they will lose interest...why do you think not many white kids follow boxing? because they dont see any white peole owning in it.

Tyson is the biggest PPV draw in history. Last time I checked he wasn't white. Lewis/Tyson did a massive number on PPV. Off the top of my head, I think it was 1.8 million buys or something in that region. Now, Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson aren't going to be mistaken for white dudes any time soon.
During the 70's Ali, Frazier and Foreman weren't exactly white.
Boxing has problems and once De Lay Hoya retires they don't have any massive draws left.
There isn't a charismatic superstar at the moment to take over from De Lay Hoya. One will come along though. Maybe he will be white. Maybe he will black. It doesn't really matter.
Also, MMA isn't dominated by white Americans. The UFC might give that impression somewhat but it's not true. The UFC just signed Cro-Cop and intend to market him as a superstar. He's white but he's from Croatian. If all goes well he'll get over huge. The UFC have signed him to build up into their big heavyweight draw.
Three of the four main heavyweight boxing heavyweight titles are being held by white guys. Prior to Shannon Briggs's recent victory all four were being held by white guys. If white people are only interested in watching sports where white people are on top then why isn't heavyweight boxing booming?
Also, Tito Ortiz is one of the UFC's biggest stars. In case you haven't noticed he's not white.Comment

tyson was notorious ko artist who was scary looking...
americans love knockouts and ufc is the new tyson basically...
ufc is new, wild, and considered a vicious brutal sport...tyson was the wild man for boxing and he was deadly...thats why people like ufc.
but as soon as the sport becomes mroe technical and ********** start winning you will see the fanbase die down a bit.Comment

The sport of mma is full of brazilians, japanese and blacks, ufc doesnt represent the accurate demographic of the sport. By the way, ufc is signing asians, brazilians and blacks these days.Comment

It's already technical. Granted, some guys don't have the best striking. However the wrestling and BJJ are already top notch. There are good strikers as well such as Cro-Cop and Anderson Silva.but as soon as the sport becomes mroe technical and ********** start winning you will see the fanbase die down a bit.
Everyone is cross trained now. Guys are very well rounded. Take Anderson Silva for instance. He has good striking, but he also has a BJJ black belt. It's not like the early days where Royce was choking out unskilled guys. Guys aren't one dimensional any more.
Over the next 15 years the evolution of skills will slow down if anything. The difference between now and 1993 is huge. The difference between now and 2020 will be much less. That's not to say that there won't be an evolution, but we won't be looking back at Fedor and saying that guy, in his prime, couldn't hang with the top guys of today.
Looking back in 15 years time, I think, it will be more like the way we look back at boxers of the past. If we look back at the Royce of '93 quite clearly he couldn't hang with the top guys of today. He would be too one dimensional and, quite frankly, there are guys today with much better BJJ credentials already competing. When we look at Fedor in 15 years and compare him to the guys that are active it will more like debating whether Hagler could take Roy Jones.
Exactly.tyson was notorious ko artist who was scary looking...
americans love knockouts
His race was irrelevant.Comment

You are ignorant, my friend. Just like boxing, one has to know the sport to appreciate it. It takes a hell of a lot of skill to avoid the takedowns of world class grapplers and knock them out at the same time. Rather than running down MMA, you should thank them during this time of ****ty boxers holding up the public for outrageous purses fighting nobodies while humaniacs are breathing down everybody's neck. We can hang together, or we'll all hang separately in this politically-correct era of *****licking....Comment

I respect mma but when did self defense become exciting to watch?
I like watching it but who would of thought female style fighting was gonna be popular with men? men used to make fun of guys who took self defense classes say that for girls!
now all the guys say ufc is bad ass...but in the 80 and 90s guys would never mount another or kick him when he was down...it was a move of cowardice.
thats how women fight...so give credit to the females for being the orginator of mma! they are master of ground and pound and mount position.Comment

Anybody who disputes the popularity of anything as it pertains to "White" needs to take a socio-economics class.
EVERYTHING they sell these days has a label that says on it:
"please buy this White people! Especially you White women, please buy..."
It's not racial. They're dictating to the largest, wealthiest consumer groups.
(I.E. the groups that will buy any crap...)
Now, as far as UFC being popular with Whites and that weakening when Minority's start to show up more - that is on the basis that most UFC fans are White trash. Which they are.Comment
