STURM is his mandatory and NO man is bigger than the sport....if he signs a "Superfight" out of his weight class with queued mandatories waiting he should relinquish his belts. This is the type of bull**** that causes boxing to start sliding down a slippery slope.

Shouldn't the correct title be "Sturm Will Retire"?

I agree with what you are saying, it's not fair on other fighters careers at all. Mandatorys should get the first shot but thats not how things have worked for the last 100 years. People have always missed out in some shape or form. Howard Eastman has been a mandatory challenger for awhile now but he never got his shot and he has tried several times.

How much did you win on the Tyson fight again? What was your prediction? I put my money where my mouth is and was DEAD ON. STURM is going to be a lock. Hopkins grows "old" during this fight and the new "Golden Boy" emerges......start saving yer nickles and dimes now.

I've only seen a couple Sturm fights, but from what i've seen of him I guess I am one of the few who thinks he is more of a prospect than Jermain Taylor. I think Sturm would give Hopkins a very good fight and I would give Sturm a chance of winning that one.

Hilarious. Sturm should retire. Plain and simple. He lost to natural welterweight De La Hoya, who got knocked out by Bernard Hopkins. Hopkins would kill the German.
Yes I made the bet and had Hopkins winning, but this site changed and all the cash in the same direction as Sturm and de la Hoya (opposite of "up")

              You heard it here

It's still his fault that he lost his title to Oscar de la Hoya. He'll have to work his way back up to get another title bout.

                  Sturm against BH ?

Sorry friends but Sturm has nothing in his arsenal to beat BH at this point . . . I'm not saying Sturm can never beat BH what I'm saying is not now. Although he clearly outpointed DLH in their encounter all he did was to out jab DLH. Nothing comes after that jab. He seldom throws that right and seldom throws combinations. BH can easily beat him by late stoppage.

Speaking of superfights with Hopkins, a lucrative bout would be against Tarver. Sturm should consider retirement after his poor outing

Why should Sturm retire? He has never fought poorly. I think he will be difficult to beat.
