Like a UK fighter is gonna get favours from there. They're still remembering the azz pwnage we gave 'em during the war. (And the Americans helped clean up after it was practically over, despite what they get taught in schools)
hey, if it wasn't for them yanks europe would be one country, we'd all be talkin in german, wearing leather pants and have pictures of felix sturm plastered on our bedroom walls.

i aint saying that Calzaghe has had the most charmed career and that it's been easy, but as far as taking risks other than stepping into the ring, it's been minimal at best, why not unify, if Kessler is a nothing then what was up with fighting Ahsira, Bika, Salem, Pudwill, etc, why not add Kessler to the list of no names, ooh i know why because he actually has the two main belts the WBC and the WBA, WTF guy now he's fighting manfredo, who by the way isnt ready for this kind of fight, but manfredo has nothing to offer by beating him, like i said before if he wants exposure make a title fight and broadcast it in the states, but they won't they're going to ride the fact that manfredo was on a tv show and milk it for has much as they can. i really hope manfredo ****s in his wheaties.

i don't think warren / calzaghe actually get to choose what gets broadcast in the states.

excuse my ignorance but i'd of thought that calzaghe-manfredo would get more viewers in the US than calzaghe-kessler, i.e greater exposure. obviously, calzaghe-kessler would be the fight real boxing fans would want to see but which do you think hbo would prefer?

i don't think they really care to be honest, manfredo is known but he isnt really a household name, he has some fame but nothing that is going to make people want to follow his career or make people want to watch him against Calzaghe, sad to say casual American fans only are interested in fights when there is massive hype and both guys fighting are big names, other than that the casual fans could care less, sad to say.
so it really doesn't matter all they really want to see is a good ass scrap.

although it was UFC and it was the end of a television series, two unknowns forrest griffin and stephen bonnar had a hell of a fight and during their fight ratings grew and grew during the actual fight, no one was watching in the states until it became a WAR, then people started calling their friends and telling them to tune in.

so that being said and although it's MMA and not boxing, but it was the fight itself that got people to watch and not the fighters themselves, now after that fight any time either one of those two guys fight people are going to watch.

in the states until you have some **** like that, people don't care what the names are, so i think that you could have calzaghe vs kessler and if they put on a hell of a show there is the exposure that they want. manfredo is only going to bring a little draw, i think it's just warren and joe trying to take easy pickens, smoke and mirrors, it's some defense lawyer type ****.

Calzaghe fans want him to fight Kessler where as UK Calzaghe fans do not. They make every excuse as to why he should not fight Kessler yet cant justify him fighting Manfredo(NOT THE CONTENDER CHAMP BUT THE ****ING RUNNER UP)

i want him to fight kessler. most boxing fans should want to see their favourite fighters involved in competitive match-ups.

but this rarely happens in the real world of boxing. in the ideal world there would be one title per weight class, no promoters, and every title match would get worldwide tv coverage no matter who was fighting.
