GBP and Top Rank don't want to miiss out on those money.
You're right, not even the coldest of cold wars could make both Arum and DLH turn down the money to be made here...which is probably why GBP has made the 50/50 offer.

If they lose the court case and Arum gets the promotional revenue on Pac's side, GBP still comes out looking good because they made the fight happen and they can still say the didn't "knowingly" make a deal with Top Rank, so the principle of the cold war remains legit. A PR victory for Golden Boy...

Goldenboy has just gave Pacman until Monday to accept the 50-50 deal and they said they are not negotiatng with Arum, but only Pacman. It is either the 50-50 for March or it is wrap. I think he should take it and whoop MAB one more time.

50-50? Maybe for the promotional profit....

But for the $7.5M purse money, it should be 2/3 PAC and 1/3 MAB....

Who's going to watch MAB to get beat up again?

People will watch this fight to see PAC kick MAB's butt for the 2nd time....hehehe

Total mismatch, this shouldn't even be televised. It's just the senseless pounding of a fighter who has no chance by a younger, hungrier, explosive fighter. Barrera is in for the beating of his life and it's the same people as the third Morales bout that are saying that Barrera will win. It's almost like Two Ton Tony Galento saying that he'd beat Louis cuz he's a bum after getting blown away in 3. Whoever made this match should be pistol-whipped.

the recent offer of 50/50 is the best deal. Both should agree and the deal is done. Damn Arum fat greedy bastard will ruin it for both.

Do you really believe that? What is with people and completely ignoring precedent in the ring? Here's the video in case you forgot about what happened. Barrera's corner had to jump in and rescue Barrera. It was definitive and done with finality.

Emmanuel Steward: "I don't think anything would ever be any different if they fought again."

Jim Lampley: "The corner keeps telling Barrera not to worry. I'm wondering if they should throw in the towel."

Larry Merchant: "Will Barrera ask his corner to stop the fight?"

dont forget that barrera was not 100% that night, i agree pac will most probably beat barrera but it will definetly be more competitive, barrera had a messy divorve last time round and things like that do bother people

ask calzaghe he fought awful when he had his divorce over his head
