The maussa fight he came inside angry trying to pull first round KO or second.

He didnt get the attention that he wanted got tired and didnt listen to his trainer when he told him to go inside and hit a small compact hook as well when he got knockdown Maussa rabbit punched him. that way he got a longer sleep

but the guy is a good fighter but if you read on my title you know what killed him

Can someone answer me this question? Is Vivian Harris a "household name"? I don't think so but some beg to differ.

He's not a household name but a underated good fighter. He's one of the top guys at 140 & could beat any of them. He's tall, has a good jab when he uses it, deceptively fast hands, & has a big right hand.

He is a guy who CAN be taken out of his strategy and he has had major problems with opponents who pressure him and can take a punch. Oliveira (even though Harris was young) took him right out of his gameplan and had his way with him by throwing a ton. When Harris saw he couldn't get him out of there with his power, he more or less failed to use a different strategy. Same with Maussa (which might be the worst loss any top contender currently has on their resume).

I think Harris could make same noise with his length and punching ability, but I can't see him taking on Hatton or Castillo. Those fellas would push him around and would crack that slender body until it broke.

Hey AS/HT...you catch that M'Baye/Balbi fight? That **** was pretty damned entertaining.

M'Baye just didn't seem bothered at the start of the Balbi fight, just stuck his chin out and asked to be punched. he looked quite classy after that though, fast and fairly strong. Balbi looked old though.

Boxrec have M'Baye fighting again on the 17th of February against Graham Earl, a British career Lightweight who holds a win over EBU Lightweight Champion Yuri Romanov. Earl is decent (not anywhere near world class though), but it looks like he is just being used as a sacrificial lamb by Frank Warren to get M'Baye some exposure.

I don't think that he's a household name....yet. But I feel that he can capitalize on the weak division and get some popularity.

I was very much impressed with M'Baye as well, but I concur about Balbi's deterioration.

Yeah. His only bump in the road would be Junior Witter/D. Hopkins. I don't think that Hatton would jump on a fight with Harris.

I'm still not sold on Demetrius Hopkins. Junior Witter is the dude he was looking to fight, Harris is fighting Lazcano for a mandatory eliminator.

It looks like Warren may be grooming M'Baye to be Khan's opponent when Khan is ready for a title shot. If Warren feeds M'Baye a few good opponents in the mean time he could make M'Baye relatively well known in the UK.

I guess in the next year or so there could be Super Lightweight unification in the UK.
