They would get worked by the best in the division.
Championship level has nothing to do with alphabet orginizations.

So I'll give Castillo a little more credit than that.

      Cotto can't say the same..
This is true. I almost put that in there...but it's just a universally known thing about Castillo. Floyd ain't knocking out Cotto at 147 though. I have been saying that he won't have the problems with getting rocked so badly by punches at 147 like he did at 140. Just wait and see...I'll gladly eat crow if I am wrong, but I think his ability to take a shot will improve with the jump in weight. Cotto walked right through a huge welterweight in Quintana, I think he'll be able to take Floyds best.

Like who...? Hatton, Urango, Witter...? Maybe Hatton would rough up those guys but that division is ****ing WEAK now that Cotto and Mayweather are gone. I can see Arnaoutis and Torres beating ANY of those other guys based on their power alone.

Arnaoutis is a strong **** with a good punch and a stout chin. He'll be up around the top of that division for awhile sir.

I've said in the past the floyd has been slowing down, so i have to aggree with you. But what Mayweather does have is good timing, and good reflexes. Though him not fight often is not helping any with his timing or reflexes. I remember when I said Judah was faster then Mayweather, people thought i was crazy. Now they say Judah is faster of handspeed.

I don't know, to me thats talking ****. I've heard humble fighters before. Usally they will say somthing like, "It will be a tough fight i hope to win" or "I come well prepared and in the ring we'll see who the better man is." Not, I can beat anybody. I think we're so used to trash talking that people forget what a humble person sounds like. I remember Chavez never used to say he was going to win, he would just say, somthing like, "my fist will do the talking" or "I don't like to talk trash, i do my talking in the ring." But i aggree he defently has to have this type of confidence, ego you can say - in order to succed.

Good timing and reflexes are just as, if not more important than handspeed. The Judah fight is a perfect example. In addition to PBF being the smarter fighter, IMO. Zab did good for the first couple rounds until Floyd felt him out and after that he had the fight.

I don't really see it as talking ****. Every fighter needs to think he is going to win, even if he doesn't say it. If he doesn't he lost before he even stepped into the ring. Theres a reason many athletes have arrogance, because it helps them during competition, their ego/pride can motivate them to keep going. I don't think that was talking trash, but yeah there may be humbler ways to say it.

True, I had forgotten how weak the division had become.
What I ment was, they are not at the championship level in the sense of being great fighters or anywhere close to it.

                Bob Arum said that?

It's about time he made an unbiased, qualified remark!..

Glad to know Bob isn't being "influenced" by objectivity..

                  Q. What type of fighter could beat Floyd?
                  A. A pressure fighter who can punch real hard, works the body well and cuts off the ring affectively - COTTO!

                  Q. What type of fighter beats Cotto?
                  A. A fast, mobile, sharp shooter, who could make him miss and make him pay, generaly outbox him - MAYWEATHER!

This fight has the makings of a classic i cant pick a winner yet but im starting to lean more and more towards Cotto with every fight

the problem i think..is that cotto would have to follow floyd around the ring...cotto is a stalker, in all honesty...i have not seen a single stalker have any success at all except castillo 1 and thats it. I give him a chance..but a slim one, because its been shown if you land accurately and consistent against cotto, its a problem.

Jose Luis Castillo's 2 dimensions were pretty much enough to convince half of the boxing population that he beat Mayweather...so its not a forgone conclusion that a bigger, harder punching, more skilled version of him could do the same thing.[/QUOTE]

wasnt mayweather only like 24 back then? people forget that. just like cotto pbf has improved as well. plus jlc has more credibility than cotto in my opinion and mayweather injured himself. look at the difference in the 2nd fight.
