do you think tyson getting knocked down in sparring affected his fight with douglas?

        He supposedly was knocked down plenty of times against McCall infact he went even with McCall in sparring so i heard. And a white guy even dropped Tyson on his ass it happens to most boxers why should it effect Tyson ??

          It was also an indication before the fight of Tyson's lack of focus going in.

                  no, i think initial overconfidence, many douglas jabs, right hand leads, and right uppercuts is what really affected tyson.

                    Never thought I would see the day but PBDS and I agree on something. I agree with this statement. Tyson was nothing more than a brawler and half of the guys he beat he beat on reputation alone. Some guys were scared to fight out of fear of his legend and they may have stood a chance but they didnt even try to fight. If you look at his early fights, quick tillis actually outboxed Tyson but no-one used his fight as a blueprint.
