....Douglas was a skilled but inconsistent big man that stood up to Tyson and didn't **** his pants. He beat Tyson because he was the better fighter on that night and he didn't let the myth intimidate him. I said for years and years that Evander would beat Tyson because he wouldn't fear him and he would go right after him. IMO Evander would have beat him up no matter when they fought. Tyson was about half as badassed as his fans think he was.Comment

If you weren't a Tyson fan, who did you follow? In his day there was no one else equal to him, in the HW division.....Douglas was a skilled but inconsistent big man that stood up to Tyson and didn't **** his pants. I think it was more of a sign that Tyson had slowed a fraction of a second for a guy like Page to catch and drop him with a good job. Tyson had a very good but not perfect chin. He was just RARELY caught flush on his chin in his prime.
Douglas did fight the perfect fight but Tyson met him halfway when he trained half heartedly and took him lightly. But to be honest, I think Tyson took boxing in general lightly after a point in the late 80's.
It's still his own damn fault though.Comment
