You remind me of that writer who wanted to get in the ring and box except he acutally fought pro, didn't go well for him either.I'm looking to set up an exhibition fight with me in the main event against a popular NYC champ, with all proceeds going to a children's charity. We'd also take donations at the event. The selling point is that one of the p4p best fighters in New York would take on a boxing writer, breaking down the barrier between fighters and writers and it'd be an explosive match. For a 20 dollar donation, would you want to see this kind of action?Comment

I'd love to do that, except he's too hairy and that isn't sexy.
I spoke with the fighter last night, and I even have a marquee name trainer who will be working with me for this. This thing will feature an amateur undercard, so there will be no overhead and the whole proceeds will go to the charity. I think we can do some huge numbers here and it would be great to see a writer get in there and prove that just because they never fought pro that they don't know boxing.Comment

If we can get this done, which it's looking really good for the spring time, it will be posted on this site as an exclusive broadcast. I have a feeling Rick Reeno is shaking his head right now like WTF is this kid thinking LOLComment

I say go for it, dude. That's real cool that you're willing to put your ass on the line to give back to the community. If I lived in NY, I'd bet there; but as it is, just count me there in spirit.Comment
