Its been done with Ali because if someone was able to beat him, or even hit him, it would create headlines all over the place. People were not going to defeat Ali, but the idea of the greatest against a bum is always interesting (a.k.a. Rocky). Edit: Note, not calling you a bum but the people Ali were going to fight were bums compared to him.
But in this case, its taking someone not nearly as good as Ali against someone not as known as a celebrity or famous athlete. It wouldn't have the appeal.
And you would need the experience/skills to even compete against one of the guys you're talking about; it won't happen. The fighter most likely won't do it, and officials won't let you do it.

Do it Asian. If you feel you have the necessary skills and you are looking to help out a charity, go for it.

The big question, regardless of what you think of my chances, would you pay to see this for a small donation to charity? I know there must be a lot of people interested in seeing me get my ass whooped, and I'd have a corner full of good trainers trying to even this out the best they can in between rounds for me. So it wouldn't be a total mismatch LOL

You arrogant ****ing prick. A great fight?? That means you think you're a great fighter. I'd love to fight you and punch some sense into your ****ing brain.

If it's not me fighting you then I would expect to get paid for watching you fight. Unless you get ****ing paralysed in the ring. I'd pay to see that.

I already talked to the fighter, he said it was, and I quote, "that is a beautiful beautiful idea". I got the fighter on board, now it's all about finding backers and a venue. It'd be a great event, and this guy is a very popular, famous fighter, especially in New York. I think this would pack a small venue, especially with the celebrities that we would attract. It'd be monstrous, and a great fight for a great cause.

Haha, you just don't like me and it shows. Well, you still have to pay to see it. And btw, you're a ***** LOL

I'd probably go since I'm in NY; hell I'd pay a couple bucks to see high school kids fight if they're lucky. But for this, I'd take a step up to a few dollars rather than a couple.
If the fighter said yes, thats cool. But don't forget, his manager is going to need convincing as well as the backers. Once you get this a venue should be easy. lol don't know what to say, good luck.

If your boxing is anything like your spelling I would doubt that!

No offense Asian...I like your insider knowledge of the sport, your skills as a writer are great and I dont doubt your skills in the ring. But unless your name is on YOUR list of NY's top 10 P4P, I dont think it's a good idea. Maybe if your talking about a former champ or big local name, ala recent Frazier exhibition fight, just not as old. But we're talking about some of the elite athletes in the world in a city where you have to be good to be named among the best and while you'll fight your ass off, it's not worth the risk.

He says "his heart is melting" to get in the ring with me, I guess he's pissed I be playing him out LOL. It's going to be a huge thing if we can pull it off, and it would get a lot of money for the charity and would bring a lot of publicity to the charity as well. I know if we make enough noise, we could get lots of rich people to make donations and that would be so great. I've already made some connections about this event and it's looking like a bright idea so far. And I know a lot of people who could fill the Garden that would want to see me get my ass kicked LOL
