I was at this fight on Saturday night and Margarito was getting caught flush in the face and the crowd was reacting to every punch that landed hard on Tony. Even some mexican dudes that were sitting by us looked a bit nervous from those shots clottey was landing in the beginning of the fight. You can see the sweat flying off of Margarito's face as he got caught. He definitely edited those parts out...lol

Who gives a **** what his style looks like. He is effective and beats who's in front of him. You're all so obsessed with image, it's like a bunch of women.

Sorry but I'll back a guy who ****ing sticks his neck out for the fan and has a crowd pleasing style (yet still wins) over the boxer who merely does what he has to to win and takes no chances. I haven't seen the fight but apparently Clottey "manhandled" Margarito by keeping his guard up and sneaking in the ocassional counter. Okay, maybe he won the first few rounds fighting in this manner but the last time I checked, "manhandle" in the context of boxing insuates carnage. Landing a high volume of hard shots and combinations, rocking the opponent, in general just roughing his ass up. I understand the video was edited and is biased but the commentator is clearly heard saying "Clottey has barely thrown anything".

You guys made it sound like Margarito was getting wrecked when in fact it seems he was just having trouble landing his blows early on while eating some good countershots, as in EVERY MARGARITO FIGHT.

The hatred for this guy on this forum is unreal. Is it because he's a gentleman out of the ring, and actually fights in a way that gets the crowd on his side? I guess you'd prefer a guy who fights like a ***** inside the ring and acts like a toughguy out of it. Sorry, but I'll always prefer the reverse: Mean as ****ing demon with gloves on and a nice guy when the gloves and wraps come off. That is Margarito to a T and I'll support him until the day he retires. You can take your Whitakers, Mayweathers, and other millionaires who don't give a **** about the fans and would rather fatten their wallets and egos by taking the path of least resistance and just surviving in a fight they're ahead on points in, but I'll ****ing support the guy who risks his brain and health to entertain me. Is it smart for him to fight like that? Not really. Neccesary? No. But that doesn't mean a fighter like Margarito doesn't deserve extra respect for going out of his way to press the action in a fight he's being paid a ****load of money for.

That music was garbage, and like I've always said Margarito would get totally outskilled by Floyd.

doesnt "manhandling" means that you are the one moving the other guy in the clinches or in the more "wrestling" parts of a fight anyway?

remember english is not my first language this is just what i gathered by reading **** about previous fights that I had seen.

i didnt see the fight so I am not going to bull**** about the fight, especially not if ferox is providing highlights from a marg fight ;p

MECH, I've said it since after the fight. Most people had not seen a Margarito fight till last Saturday. Imo, as i've said all along, Margarito looked good. People forget that in boxing you get punchs, "oh **** really", yes, really. What people don't point to is the FACT that at first Margarito was getting caught with the counter right upper cut by Clottey. Margarito makes adjustments and this doesn't happen anymore. People seemed to miss the times Margarito made Clottey hit air, making him look foolish, or the times that Clottey did throw punchs Margarito came back with punchs of his own. After hearing people boo Clottey in the 10th for running, thats exactly what would happen if Mayweather was to run from Margarito all night long, which is the only way he has a chance to win against Margarito.

And yes, i edited the video so i can keep a sence of how the fight went and keep it in a 10 minutes time fram. But sorry to say my editing skills don't go so far as to make Clottey stopp punching. There enough unedited footage of rounds were all Clottey did was catch punchs, those parts are not edited. And if you think Clottey won the first 4 rounds then you are complietly a Clottey biased fan.
