    Are Margorito fans in denial?

i mean wtf, i come read these boards and margo fans are saying things like "he was a lil rusty" "came back and pulled out a victory", etf. Fact is, if clottey didnt hurt his hand, margo was possibly going to get KO'd. Nothing was impressive about him. Maybe now since he didnt fight a prospect like cintron the real him comes out. Hes a C fighter with some pop at 147. but lets get real hes not a world-beater your claiming him to be. please stop it with him.

Do you honestly think Mayweather could use the style Clottey used to beat Margarito?

I want you think hard about this.

Also, I'm a Magrarito fan and a fan of many fighters of all nationalities. I am not Mexican as you can see.

Explain why he could not use that style.

I am not a Margarito fan, but I do think he is an exciting fighter who has a lot of promise (and I'm not Mexican). That being said he did not look good last night. But lets give him a break, a 10 month layoff is a long time. Also, Clottey is no club fighter...he impressed me last night. He is an undefeated fighter (his only loss was a BS DQ where he was leading on all cards) that never got a chance. If he had not hurt his hand, I think he very well could haev won the fight. But that isn't what happened...Clottey did hurt his hand and Margarito did what he should have...take advantage. Floyd would not be able to use Clottey's exact style...if you noticed he had Margarito's respect because he is a bigger guy and has good power (look at Clottey last night and Floyd on Nov. 4th). Floyd doesn't have those attributes but he does have better defense and boxing skill. Clearly, Margarito was bothered by Clottey's defense and he showed some major defensive liabilities. It all comes down to whether Floyd would be willing to let his hands go and risk taking a big punch.

You could not have given me a simpler task.

Floyd is not Clottey. He is not Winky Wright. He does not have bone structre in his chin/body to handle that kind of assault. Clottey and Wright similarly cover up and use subtle movements. Floyd's defense relies much more on reflexes and movement. If he stands in front of Margarito like that, his chances of winning go way down. He does not have the power and body strength to stand there like that.

I agree... Clottey hit him clean with a big uppercut early in the fight and it stunned Margarito but he kept coming forward.
