Final thoughts on the Lacy-Tsypko fight.

After a couple hours of reflection, I just can't help but feel ****ing sick about the verdict in the Lacy-Tsypko fight. That is the worst, most blatant robbery I have ever seen. I got to thinking about the fact, in 50 years people will just look back and see a Jeff Lacy win, and the fact in a months time nobody will care about the fact Tsypko was robbed, but then I also got to thinking the effect that must have on the fighter. Like, how must Tsypko feel to have flown 6,000 miles and put in the performance of his career only to be the victim of an outrageous hometown decision? That must be some de-moralizing stuff. I think this stuff is beginning to mount up now, and I get the feeling like it's useless, regardless of whether the home fighter is beaten or not he gets the win regardless. It takes the shine off the sport for me, and at the moment I'm feeling pretty indifferent to it all, like I'm close to losing interest.

Another thing, it makes me literally "LOL" when thinking about the Americans claiming Britain has alot of hometown decisions and screwjobs. I mean, god damn I thought Germany was bad, but America seems to be on a whole new level when it comes to that sort of stuff!

I didnt read that all but i agree,a bull**** decision, why bother? Why cant the judges just give it to the guy that won, this is what pisses me off,and Lacy looked good for the first 4 rounds, then looked like he didnt no wdf 2 do,he got outboxed for the remaining 6 rounds, and got hurt badly, hes 1 dimensional

The question is,does this take a little bit of Calzaghes win? It might do....

Not really. Did anyone expect Lacy to be the same after the Calzaghe beating?

Come now, we all know that all decisions in the US are fair. Whereas American fighters are always robbed by euro ***s......

True, but one thing ino,Lacy is 1 dimensional,he started showing that after the Ried fight,he dont like working at a pace, and he NEVER goes to the body

We can't feel bad for Tsypko though, as Magee was robbed against him.

I thought the decision was in a way fair, cause it could've gone either way, it was just too close. Lacy won it, but Tsypko could've won as well, or it could've ended up a draw. but I had the fight a draw with 95-95. Also, after watching this, I have total respect Tsypko, he showed alot of heart, and showed he could box, and he even outboxed Lacy.

Lacy is a shot fighter that needs to retire. he don't have the punch or the skills to be a top fighter.

this was not highway robbery. It was a draw or a split decision win for Tsypko, IMO. But I can see why it could have gone to Lacy. Tsypko held back too much when he was clearly better than Lacy.
