Williams has no defense. Just a height with some handspeed. I'm not hyping him up like everyone else is. Margarito would have a stronger argument after beating him than he does right now. Especially how his performance hours ago sounds like.

Clottey was landing at will on Margarito. If he hadn't hurt his hand he would have had the fight. He landed at will whenever he cared to throw for the whole fight. Margarito is not a skilled fighter and if he has that much power why didn't he drop Clottey after the guy put his hands down? Not a good fight at all, but Margarito was exposed.

After watching that fight I am of the opinion that Williams will destroy Margarito. Neither of them have any defense but Williams throws enough that he will smother Margarito. He will land repeatedly despite the fact that he is not an accurate puncher either. Williams throws 100 plus per round and Margarito is a slow starter. I say that fight will be over in 7-8 rounds. I am rather looking forward to it despite the fact that I don't like either boxer.

As usall I see a lot of hate regarding Margarito and im the one most of you call hatfull. Take a look in the mirror and look at your hatefull post.

After reading the thread of the round by round its clear 90 percent of you have not followed Margaritos career. Have not seen his past fights.

You guess were expecting Margarito to have Tyson power, sorry to disapoint but he don’t have that type of power, he has good power to ko any fighter but to a certian point. Clottey had his guard so high the whole fight that it was not easy landing a clean head punch at will, but Margarito landed many body shots on him and keep Clottey on defence and head shots also got through.

And lets be honest, Clottey wanted to quit, it was his corner that didn’t want the fight to be stopped by not responding to Clotteys request.

Clottey did good, but to say he won when he was on defence all night is ridicules. Clottey may have hurt his wrist, but so did Margarito and it was clearly seen on film that Margarito skinned his nuckle, but the haters who seen the fight wont mention this. I belive it was in the 4 or 5 round that Margarito put a beating on Clottey and in this round it is clearly visable that Margarito took the fight out of Clottey. Did Clottey win the first four rounds, no he didn’t.

And what did some of you newbies expect? Margarito is a slow starter, he started slow again Lujan and then dominated later. Many of you sound as if you have never even seen Margarito fight and were expecting Margarito to be technicly sound, to have super human ko power, to have the best foot work in boxing. Relax, Margarito works for his win, gets hit while winning a fight, has trouble with his opponets from time to time, after all it is a fight and he is fighting a live body. I think before this fight many of you talked out your ass about Margarito; describing him in this way or that way. Then when your expectations weren’t meet, you drown the guy. But this is cause you were really clueless how Margarito fights and your opinions were just that opinions. Oppinions on fight clips you’ve seen and not complete Margarito fights.

Will Margarito beat Floyd yes he will, at least I still belive this. 8 millions reasons tell me that Floyd saw somthing in Margarito that scares him, beside all the Margarito brings to the table. Im not talking bull****ing just telling the truth.

And I guess when Margarito gets the Williams fight, he’ll get respect for that win - yeah right, haters will continue to hate on Margarito. Margarito will just have to keep winning and at the end will be the “Last Man Standing.”

There would be no point in a top fighter "stepping up" to Margarito at this point in time. He sucks. He has a loss scheduled to Paul Williams. So no one else will have to waste their time with the guy.

This was a good performance by Margarito. He had Clottey on "D" all night long. In the 11th i think it was, Clottey thought he was Mayweather and started running for the whole round and guess what they booed Clottey. Now, imagine if that was Mayweather, yes, he'd get booed for 12 rounds. Margarito would keep that jab in his face all night long and he'd have to chase down Mayweather all night long, Mayweather can't land on Margarito without getting hit as was evidence with Clottey, Clottey landed, Margarito came right back with his punchs. Let the haters talk, Willaims is next then hopfully they got balls to put Cotto in with Margarito.

What you are looking for is a skilled fighter, a technicall fighter. Margarito has skills just doesn't always look good useing them. If Margarito ****** he would have lost against Clottey, if Margarito sucks he'll lose against Cotto, he'll lose against Williams, but you know what he doesn't suck, he'll beat all these i mentioned. Sorry Margarito didn't impress you, but at least i know you are reading up about Margarito, shows that you care.

ive seen margarito before and has to admit i thought he was pretty okay,entertaining at most but about his chances against pbf? i thought he can beat pbf for about two days then i changed my mind

If Margarito was a jokester what does that tell you about floyd who turned down an 8 million dollar payday against Margarito and Winky who turned down a 4 million dollar pay day?


Go and look at the Winky and Quartey fight, if your a hater, that fight gives you a lot of room to hate on either fighter. Especially Winky who picked on an old fighter and where both showed their defence was lacking, they used each other as a punching bag, go and talk about how awal both looked.
