What difference does it make if it's in Vegas, NYC, or Wales? This fight would be televised on both sides of the Atlantic. And if it takes place in Wales that would be because the champ (Taylor will be the challenger) is from that country. No issue for debate here.

But that makes Calzaghe a ***** apparently.

Even though it most definately wouldn't be in Wales.. but if it's anywhere in the states, I hope it's not in the same place where Winky's fight with him took place.

That crowd cheered everytime Taylor hit nothing but leather, the crowd had a huge influence on the judges IMO.

That fight pissed me off. It was like the judges and half this forum decided that there is no longer a difference between a blocked punch and a landed punch. But this is not the thread for that . . .

... to continue the rant, there's an interview with Joe Blow where he discusses travelling to fight Taylor IN THIS VERY WEBSITE.

Surely if you're interested in the subject then you'll take the time to watch it, ie. DO SOME RESEARCH? Why post an opinion in a thread when you haven't taken the time to do the work first???

I mean, I'd hate to suggest that some members (including two who have posted in this thread already) are mouthy penises who don't do any research but just talk smack and ****, but there you go...

I just hope the fight really comes off. Calzaghe has called out lots of big-name fighters before.

Maybe this one will come off because he's on HBO now, it's a guy coming up in weight, and Joe can cash in at the end of his career because he isn't planning on fighting for a long time and he may regret not building his account higher earlier in his career.

(PS- he's ALREADY SAID he'll fly over to the States for the Taylor fight. Do some research before you open your mouth).

In america..when you fight outside of your home state, unless your in vegas, more than likely your in hostile territory, remember, were not a small island, were a huge country.

In england, you guys have far more beloved fighters that are backed by the entire country, we dont have that here, in america its all about reigons.

Zab Judah fighting a mexican in the staples center is going to be hostile territory for him. A mexican fighting miguel cotto in madison square garden is hostile territory for that mexican.

Thats why fighting in america is such an important thing because here, you dont get an entire crowd behind you garunteed against someone who isnt american, whereas in england, if your a big fighter there, youll get the support of the entire country

Because people tend to respect you less if you fight in your hometown all the time. what if taylor only fought in arkansas? thats why. Vegas is neutral territory for the most part unelss you have a small fan following. I garuntee you if taylor fought hopkins in atlantic city, it would easily be a pro hopkins crowd. if Taylor fought Jones in florida it would easlily be a pro Jones crowd, thats why.

If Joe Calzhage fights in any part of wales, hes the draw, no matter what, in that country.

Aye, that does make alot of sense.

I've heard Americans put down Spadafora because he never fights out of PA.

Black Jesus you always talk about regionalism in America but the fact is that this phenomenon is just as present in many many other countries (it is MUCH stronger in both Italy and Germany, which are the only two countries I know well enough to talk informedly about). And the point you mention about Judah fighting a Mexican in L.A. is not a regional issue. There are Mexican-Americans everywhere in the U.S., and a non-Mexican American fighting a Mexican is always going to be placed in front of split crowd

But I suppose it could be anywhere in America and Taylor will still have the majority of the crowd behind him.
