Im wondering why did so many people on here and in the media rip Floyd's PPV numbers and laugh at them when they are just as good as anyone's not named Oscar and actually better then mostly everyone if you really look at it. Floyd vs Baldy did 325,000 and no one in the world knew who the hell Baldy was. I remember it being so funny that everyone said that Gatti sold his fight with Floyd but then Floyd turns around and does even more buys in the Judah fight.
Everyone sweats Pac and says that he's the real new star in boxing and he will be bringing in all the massive bucks but he has had these big time fights with Mexican stars and cant even out do Floyd. Imagine if Floyd fought EM or somebody? It would do easily over 500,000. Why do so many choose to overlook the fact on Floyd and overlook that his name is way bigger then people give him credit for. You cant name too many people bringing in more money or PPV buys then Floyd and not even Pac, MAB, or EM. Its not even close when you really break it down by the opponents.
Also, didnt Arum say something crazy like Pac-EM would do over a million buys? I hope he meant the whole trilogy combined. Im not critcizing those other fighers, Im just saying that Floyd isnt a bad draw and doesnt produce these horrible numbers like some in the media and on this board would let you believe. If he does then those other guys are really bad draws

The memorable trilogy between junior lightweight stars Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales concluded with the rubber match generating an estimated 350,000 pay-per-view buys and $17.5 million in revenue, HBO Sports announced Wednesday.
Pacquiao knocked Morales out in the third round of their Nov. 18 slugfest at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas to win the trilogy 2-1.
HBO PPV's Mark Taffet said the figures for the fight probably will rise once the buys are fully counted.
That's what happened with each of their first two fights. The first bout in March 2005 generated 350,000 buys and $15.7 million in television revenue. The January rematch did 360,000 buys and $16.2 million.
The reason the third fight generated more revenue than the second fight, despite fewer subscriptions, is because the third fight sold for $49.95 and the second fight was priced at $44.95.
Together, the three Pacquiao-Morales fights combined to sell an astonishing 1,060,000 pay-per-view subscriptions and raked in $49.5 million.
Floyd Mayweather's shutout victory against Carlos Baldomir to win the world welterweight championship last Saturday night in Las Vegas generated 325,000 pay-per-view buys, HBO announced Friday.
Mayweather
The fight, which cost $49.95, generated $16.3 million in television revenue, but was the weakest performing of the three cards Mayweather has headlined on HBO PPV.
Both of his previous HBO PPV fights, which cost $44.95, did more business.
Mayweather's lopsided decision win against Zab Judah in April generated 374,000 buys and $16.8 million in revenue and his June 2005 destruction of Arturo Gatti to win a junior welterweight belt generated 365,000 buys and $16.5 million.
