Based on purley power, its George Foreman, no question.
Is George Foreman the biggest puncher in heavyweight all-time?

foreman was a huge puncher as well as one of the physically strongest.
it seems that even without advanced supplements and weight training regimes, big george just naturally had the ability to throw men around the ring like ragdolls, even in his comeback. hell, an old george foreman was even able to force huge weight-lifter types like briggs on the backfoot.Comment

Well now that I think of it, I might as well just add them to the thread, so here they are;
"Oooh man, that man is always with me. He hit so hard, the HARDEST. I still feel his punches today." - Jimmy Young in reference to Shavers (the emphasis on "HARDEST" is taken directly from the quote and is not my own doing)
"Shavers hit me so hard it felt like needles were jabbing the back of my head. Without hesitation, Shavers was the hardest puncher I met." - Ron Lyle
"Shavers. No question. At least with Foreman I was able to get up. When Shavers hit me I went down and stayed down." - Ken Norton, when asked the question as to who hit him the hardest
"Earnie Shavers was indeed the hardest puncher I ever fought, because he hit me with a right hand that jarred my ancestors back in Africa, if you want to take a page out of Ali's book." - Larry HolmesComment

shavers had the edge in power and unlike foreman he tended to aim for the chin foreman scored a load of knockouts hitting people on the skull!
if foreman had a trainer who could have forces his will on foreman than he would have been damn near unstoppableComment

im just thinking if shavers could ko foreman in just 2 rounds like what foreman did to norton & frazier then maybe he's really the harder puncher. or we couldn't really base our analogy as to who really hits harder there? what d'ya think?Comment
