Delvin regularly spars with Rios. Benitez still is in NY according to boxrec lol...Damn, I been outta the loop! Benitez and Delvin are in NY now? I thought Delvin was from CT and Benitez was living in MA. I know Benitez was originally from NY tho. I had the opportunity to see his first pro fight and talk to him afterwards. Real cool kid, I'm hoping the best for him.
Anyway, I guess I misunderstood the topic. I thought it was fighters currently living in ny, not originally from.
Philly all I know is CHAZZ WITHERSPOON and Victor Vasquez, Hopkins newphew too..

Stevie Cunningham is serious. I'm for real, he can beat any of the top guys at cruiserweight.
It's funny you mention that about the Philly thing, cuz I got the idea from some dude who wanted me to do an article for him about the top p4p fighters in NY from some other website. He did his about Philly, putting Eddie Chambers, Yusef Mack, and Chazz Witherspoon up there.Comment

Cunningham seemed scared of Wlodarczyk's power. God knows how he'll react if he ever shares the ring with Bell, Maccarinelli and Haye. He absolutely bottled it against Wlodarczyk in the kind of way that will put his career back somewhat.Stevie Cunningham is serious. I'm for real, he can beat any of the top guys at cruiserweight.

Victor Vasquez Electrifies Crowd in Pro Debut!
The long awaited pro debut of Puerto Rican prospect Victor Vasquez, 1-0 (1 KO), dazzled the crowd in spectacular fashion with an array of boxing skill, hand speed, and raw power en route to a 2 nd round TKO. The Philadelphia native brought the crowd to their feet as he sent Shane Lewis reeling into the ropes from a four punch combination that left had the battered Lewis bloody and staggering. As the doctors waved off the fight, the pro Vasquez crowd in went into an uproar. It is estimated that hundreds of Victor Vazquez' family, friends and loyal followers made the trip from Philadelphia to Reading PA in order to support the young athletic lightweight.
"It was an honor to put on a show for my people. The support my family, friends and my people showed me was unreal. It was a dream come true," explained the humble and gracious Vasquez. "I worked very hard to get here and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get to the next level."
Team Vasquez expects to fight at least 2-3 more times this year and expects to appear on major under cards. The ability to draw a crowd from the Puerto Rican community is impressively apparent with Vasquez.
Victor Vasquez is a product of the world famous Joe Hand's Gym which has recently moved to South Philadelphia. Vasquez is able to spar with some of the best fighters in the Philadelphia area such as Miguel Figueroa, Rogers Mtagwa, and recently got in some good work with Reading PA's own Jason Cintron. Trained by Kevin Yeiser and Frank Ward, Victor is poised to continue to add to his already loaded offensive arsenal and continue growing to become a complete professional prize fighter.
"I am ready to prove to my fans that I am for real. I know my ability and my talents, and I will work as hard as I can to polish and perfect my skills. I love to fight. I was born to fight. I am ready to put a mark on the game."
This guy sounds like the next Miguel Cotto, never seen him, but the writer is pretty excited for his pro debut. So check this philly fighter out.Comment
