Because of the drop off in the New York boxing scene over the last 30 years or so, I obviously wasn't expecting to see names like Sugar Ray Robinson, Benny Leonard, Tony Canzoneri, Gene Tunney, Jack Britton, Jake LaMotta, etc. on the list, but I still figured to see some much more recognizable names than the ones being named from today's scene.

I know Yogi, I agree but what do you want me to do? There isn't much else out there, these are the guys right now.

I didn't know that he lives in Brooklyn, hes going on the list also then. Even though he doesn't fight in New York, which he should. I don't ever see him around here.

All the major talent right now is in California, boxing is in a rebuilding phase here in NY.

The best NY prospects are Elio Rojas and Yuri Foreman.
How come they not on this list?
And if Guzman is considered newyorker he should be on the top of the crop.

Because they are prospects. When I make my top ten list of prospects, they will be right up there behind Peter Quillin. Gary Starks is also a good prospect, but I'll reserve him for when he steps up.

Slightly, yes. I don't know what you want, there is a limited ammount of fighters who have stepped up so far.
