People also dont realize Taylor had 23 fights, and was very inexperienced. Beating Hopkins was a great achivement, seeing as Hopkins hadnt lost since 93. Dont try and downplay Taylor's achivements.
Everyone downplays it because everyone thinks Hopkins won the first fight. Hopkins followed it up big, and Taylor followed with Wright in another fight where the majority of those watching live and on television thought Wright won.

I thought Jermain won the first and the second was a draw. Taylor definently deserves respect though. B-Hop made the fights boring not Taylor.

A young undefeated Olympian that was being built as the next star was barely able to beat an old 40-year-old fighter.
The only good fighter that could make Hopkins a legit legend is Roy Jones and he lost that fight. The rest of those guys are decent-to-good fighters, but not the type of guys you beat to call yourself a legend...

It should be a good fight.Eventhough Joe throws alot of punches I don't see him keeping Hopkins in troulbe like Taylor did.Anyways,Hopkins by UD.

Taylor put on 3 good preformances against 3 of the best fighters in the world!
                      That absolutly deserves credit.
