Does Manfredo actually love his children taking this fight? It's a huge risk. We're already getting rumours of Jeff 'Limited' Lacy having to use adult nappies once a week, and otherwise relying on family members to club together and clean the bed sheets (source: Lacy's PCP dealer) whenever possible when the supply of adult nappies runs dry. I mean, that's a pretty horrible reality of the fight game.

I watched The Contender, and the series loser Manfredo looked fairly devoted to his kids, but now he seems prepared to swap shoes with them and have them feeding their baby food to him through a straw for the rest of his days. I'm just a fight fan who cares for fighters, that's all.

As boxing fans, we must confront these issues.

After confronting this issue (a lot of inner turmoil), I have decided that 'The Contender runner up' may well love his children. This depends on if he has them named in his will.

Calzaghe is there for the taking. He breaks his hand all the ****ing time - even in training, and desperately struggles to make weight - he looked like a white Ephiopian at his last weigh-in (each of his hands looked bigger than his waist!), and he'll be 35 soon.. but I don't think Manfredo is the man to take him if he's that guy from the Contender?

I'd pick Taylor and Froch over Calzgahe.
