Froch Eyes Calzaghe, After KO of Dodson

After Carl Froch retaining his British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles against rival Tony Dodson by way of third-round knockout, he made his intentions clear that he wanted a shot at WBO/IBF champ Joe Cazlaghe in the near future.

I saw that interview... Joe Blow should fight Froch "if he wants to step up". LOL, Froch is such a **** he's hilarious.

It was his manager that said that, but now we can see where Froch gets it from.

One thing about Froch is that - unless he did it when they had the camera on the audience - he didn't go over to check that Dodson was okay after he'd KO'd him.

Froch should get his ass in the ring with someone decent first before he gets in the ring with Joe. A top 4 British Supermiddleweight. Someone like Robin Reid......actually not Reid he is a bit past it isnt he? Sorry i dont know many British Supermiddles.

Reid wouldn't be a bad test. A step up from what he's had before, and a decent (if meaningless - triangular logic means virtually nothing) barometer of how he compares with Lacy.

I used to think that David Starie guy was quite good until Joe beat him, and then Starie lost badly to another guy. I was thinking Starie would be a good test but i think he has retired.
But all im getting at is for Froch to stop calling out Joe just yet. Beat someone people respect first. That is how the boxing world works.

Oh, absolutely. It's completely ridiculous for him to be calling Joe Blow out. He's been doing for years now.

tha euro belt is far more realistic.

anyway, there would be absolutely nothing for joe to gain by fighting froch. no money (american ppv) and no prestige. joe will be retired by tha time froch is big enough to generate ppv buys (if ever).

Froch is a talent, not the product of hours and hours of gym work, not the produce of textbook technique or dedication throughout his amateur career, he's just a talent. He's probably no better now that he was three years back (other than strength).

He could jump in with Calzaghe or Kessler right now and it wouldn't suprise if he took them out, just like he could of done years back.
