He landed a few more punches on the jaw, but to me the injury looke no worse at the end of the fight than it did at the end of the 5th. Miranda was the aggressor but the majority of his punches were landing on the shell-like guard of abraham.Comment

not to get personal, but breaking someone's jaw with a single punch isn't a beating... the beating was the one that Abraham gave Miranda by outboxing him, with that broken jaw, no less...Comment

You guys are kidding yourselves if you don't think he was in obvious discomfort getting his jaw hit through out the rest of the fight.
His jaw was broken by a legal punch, and he continued getting hit for the rest of the fight.
He was the one that took a beating in the fight, and the hospital time speaks for itself.
2nd, the scoring in that fight was very subjective. It was points lost that aided Abraham on the cards, not winning rounds from the mid point on as he held and fought in brief flurries.
Dismissing the physical damage one fighter recived and trying to suggest 'outboxing' someone is more of a beating is outright silly.Comment

Of course it hurt when he got hit after the jaw broke midway through the fight.. thats not the point, point is, he still continued to fight and outboxed Miranda with the injury.. sure the fight would have been tighter on the cards with all the points taken away from Miranda, but i still had Arthur winning the fight because he made Miranda miss and was the more accurate fighter throughout the fight..You guys are kidding yourselves if you don't think he was in obvious discomfort getting his jaw hit through out the rest of the fight.

Abraham didn't start "retreating" until about the 11th-12th rounds when he knew he was up thanks to the penalties on Miranda and the jaw probably was swolen to the point of a g****fruit.. Abraham's not ******, why risk further injuring the jaw when you know you're up on the cards? He could've been hurt to the point of never fighting again if he stayed inside with a dangerous puncher like Miranda... come on now.. think it throughComment
